  • Ah well, at least I've read the whole thread this evening even if Op ORF is delayed..
    Evening flyers and flappers.
Mumofjust2, big hugs to you and to anyone in Cry Club this week too.
Michelle, I'm so glad you've been behaving today, well done you.
Welcome to the thread Dreaming and Lurkio. I'm another away from home full timer, out by 7.30 and not home til 6. Take it easy to begin with but each week it gets less and less effort, especially after the decluttering stops. I've not made a start for the day yet but I'm only doing half an hour or so. As for chipping in,positively encouraged especially for a rant to keep your sanity!
Welcome back Gingergirl! Good luck with the move Rumbly!
And loads of you can have a round of applause for getting HHCs and lists done. I'm generous like that.

Good mood day for me, the job (my job) I applied for last week has had no other applications so far, closing date this Friday. Fingers crossed no-one else goes for it so I don't have to go through an interview please.

Kitchen, kitchen and more kitchen 7.30 to 8.Emptied WM when I got in and draped it all out as I went round closing curtains. My mother's motto when we lived at home was don't go anywhere empty handed. I still daren't even though I've not lived there for 25 years.

Pigpen SSSShhhhh!! No-one was supposed to know! Actually, it's surprising what can be hidden in the footings of all those blocks of tiny flats they are building in my locality to replace the nice victorian villas they're pulling down :D

    Hi there,

Just a note to Lurkio! I'm quite a newbie too, and I'm currently on maternity leave, but I would just add that the effects of this flying lark are cumulative... i.e. doing a few bits in each room on the different days will make a difference and you'll really notice it over a couple of weeks.

Eg on 'kitchen day' I tend to mainly wipe the surfaces and usually sweep the floor. Because I now do this each week, it's never as bad as it was at the start! And now that I'm getting quicker, I have been able to add in extra jobs e.g. last week, I wiped all the small appliances as well and they are still quite shiny, so it looks great and wasn't so much effort to give them a once over today. 2 weeks ago I cleaned the cooker. Now, because it looks so much better, I'm SLIGHTLY better at keeping it clean as we go along during the week.

Today a friend came over and said "wow- your house is so tidy!" I have to say it honestly wasn't completely minging before, but still, I'm convinced it's cos I'm doing little and often... I often just have a 30 min blast when she's gone to bed, after making tea for me+DH- you'd be amazed how much you can get done in half an hour with a list!!!!!
