SSL you are so lucky to have an understanding GP, when I lost the plot a few yrs ago (bursting into tears in tesco for no apparent reason etc.) my GP made me feel so guilty, like I was skiving and claiming sick pay for no reason, thing was as I was so vunerable at the time I couldn't see just how uncaring she was being, she made me feel so bad I dreaded going to her for a sick note and ended up taking a 2 year career break. Am glad I did now-we may be skint but I'm here for the kids, and I'm happy:j
Galantvr - oh honey thats awful!!! I have to say, I've seen a couple of GPs and they have all been fab. One of the senior GPs in the practise was off with depression about the same time as me last year. Dont know if that had anything to do with it, but they have all been great. The receptionists are great too. Thing is, I do feel a bit of a fraud, because its all work related. I'm absolutely fine and dandy now, sitting in the house. In fact, DD called me a skiver and she saw the state of me yesterday! But I know I'll be in a state when I go into Edinburgh and I'll probably have a panic attack. Anyway, good for you!! :T I know it will be a big change for me, to leave work and cope with less money, but I'm confident I can do it xx0 -

Wooooohooooo I did some ironing! Put neighbours on and whizzed through a load
Kept meaning to say Michelle had a great idea about us suggesting doing those niggling tasks off of our lists that seem to get copied from one week to the next. It's ok for me coz I don't often post lists on hereeven though they would be the longest ones by far  I distinctly remember PMing a flylady asking if she wanted some baby clothes months and months ago
some of them are in the loft as I intended to ebay them but have never got round to it!

Now listen here lady, you are NOT A FRAUD ok, repeat after me, I am not a fraud, I am not a fraud.
I was off work before A was born with work related stress, was pregnant at the time and DH said 'you are not going to work' Think I would have fought against him to go in if I had not been pregnant because I felt a fraud as well. Everything was fine outside of work but the moment it was suggested or I thought about it I started panicking and getting palpitations. That episode taught me that nothing is as important as your own health and the health and well being of those around you. What with sick leave and maternity leave I was off work for 18 months in total. It was my boss that caused all the problems and I will never walk into the branch I was at ever again, in fact I will not even drive past it, it's my way of coping with it now. But I also know that no one will ever make me feel like my manager did at the time. It is one battle that I may have lost at the time but I am going to win the war in my life
End of profound statement!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Ummmm.....
hello everyone :hello:
I have been lurking (as the name suggests) for a while and have a question about this flying lark......
It seems to me to be mainly for SAH people (apologies if this is not the case, it is just the impression I have got). What if both are working? Me and OH both work and need to get in to some kind of regime to try and get/keep the house in some reasonable state.
It would seem that level one would be ok for us, but if that were the case, we would never dust or clean cupboards or anything.
I'm sure I'm missing the point entirely, but if anyone has any useful info on how we can tackle this, it would be marvellous!!!
I think you are all fantastic for even tackling this lot! All power to you!!!!
