  • Afternoon you crazy lot!! No wonder I feel at home here. At the Drs this morning, so have been signed off for 2 weeks. It wasnt my usual GP as he's on holiday, but she was just lovely. Sort of got it in my head that I'll be off for a couple of months.

Mumofjust2 - I know exactly how you feel. I cried so much yesterday, my eyes were sore. Have you been to your GP/HV? I know its not easy having people think that you cant cope, but please dont try to be superwoman. We put so much pressure on ourselves to be perfect xx

Feeling so much better now that I'm tackling my problems, so will get some flying done today. I'll need to, as its my uncles funeral tomorrow lunch time and it will be a long session. Off to the kitchen to make a start. Laters xx

I now have an ever-growing mountain of things for ebay (some old dresses of mine that I will not ever wear to the mess again and loads of DD2's clothes, some of which were never worn!), my bedroom looks like a charity shop:rolleyes: .

But am tearing my hear out at the builders outside:mad: . They are laying the road. Our street here is going to be a "play street" where cars have to go extra slow and the kids can play, but they have been cutting bricks outside my house for the last 3 weeks and the outside and side of my house , everything has a 3 inch layer of dust on it. I cleaned the windows yesterday morning. The builders stood and watched me clean and dry the windows, then they promptly started cutting bricks again:eek:

So I point blank refuse to do the windows (hence i have crossed them off) - the army can send someone round to do them when the builders have gone away:rolleyes:

So have a good afternoon all, am going to do a wee bit more before i collect DD1 from the school bus

    BB xx

  • SSL you are so lucky to have an understanding GP, when I lost the plot a few yrs ago (bursting into tears in tesco for no apparent reason etc.) my GP made me feel so guilty, like I was skiving and claiming sick pay for no reason, thing was as I was so vunerable at the time I couldn't see just how uncaring she was being, she made me feel so bad I dreaded going to her for a sick note and ended up taking a 2 year career break. Am glad I did now-we may be skint but I'm here for the kids, and I'm happy:j

  • Abit of a late starter but I'm in this week, I'll try to play catch up on Monday's tasks. I'm a newbie here so gonna start off nice and gently with level 1 :)

  • Haven't done much of the list yet this week, but the potty training is going OK. Twice he's actually sat on the thing before the wee started! Poo is another matter though, he hasn't gone since Saturday so I'm trying to get fluids into him whenever possible, and pushed the weetabix option at breakfast.

Off to think of a way to get prunes into his lunch!!

Very excited about the Fiat fiasco. My parents used to live outside a school and found parents would park on their drive. One sports day Dad had to walk around to the school and get them to make an announcement over the loudspeaker for the driver to move his car. It made my Dad late for work (he was a shiftworker), and the other driver just swore at him to add insult to unjury!! These people need to learn a lesson

Pink Fairy - I hope everything's OK with your son's friend. You're right, you do sometimes have to draw a line about when you get dragged into caring for everyone else, but I find it hard too.

Plans to attack wardrobe and boost stocks of local hospice shop this afternoon. Have sorted toy mountain from DD2 room and managed to lose DD1 and DS to holiday club at school to give me a fighting chance! Right - oven timer at ready, 15 minutes to see exactly how many pairs of shoes I have!
