Jeez how difficult can it be, whoever you are flying with,
Find the maximum sizes (inc. wheels handles, luggage tags etc. etc.) and maximum weight for your single piece of hand baggage and stick them, if you don't it's YOUR fault if it all goes Tango Uniform, I repeat YOUR fault, not mine not the airlines but YOURS! What you have in your pockets if the AIRPORT security expert people (I use the term people loosely) will allow is a different matter. (Not the airline, the airport security)
This contribution should reduce the number of posts to these forums by 50% saving untold millions and now the footy thing has finished please all get back to work and save the economic future of Britain.0 -
This one is a great offer I think

I bought a Cabin Max bag and a weighing scales from Amazon. Well worth the investment. The bag weighs around 1 kilo and is a bit of a Tardis. Easily packs enough clothes and stuff for a week or two.
I pack the lighter stuff and wear the heavy stuff like boots, coat etc. Put small heavy items in your pockets, they haven't started checking that YET.
The scales ensures that I won't experience the pain of lashing out ££€€ on charges.
Remember, a penny saved is a penny to squander.0 -
When I came went to Spain with Ryanair I had a trolly suitcase thing and they were just letting people through and checking the ones that looked bigger (inc mine). I just had to put it on the scales and into the metal basket (which you can force it into if you like), it was fine. Some one's was overweight so she started putting on lots of extra clothes and carrying things in her hand. Then when we got down the stairs about to walk to the plane she stopped and put everything back in!0
