They didnt they tried to I know my market far more than they do I gave them loads of business ideas they were eagrely writing them down !

Yes they make you open a duel signatry business account so you cannot take any money out with out their prior consent and I now have to go and cancel !:mad:

PTW can help people get into self employment if the claimant wishes to take this route, but they would never force people to take out loans, nor would they insist on being dual signatory to a business account (in fact I can't see that they would be able to).

This is getting more and more random ...

Looking at the Inbiz site at their FAQ, this is what they expect, not PTW.

Will need to claim IB myself after reading this link. Totally confused. From what i can gather the poster has signed up for a Traing f.or Work course open to customers with health conditions who wish to pursue self employment. Inbiz are a contracted provider who offer support and advice and try to identify funding sources, although not always succesfully.

13 weeks of test trading is permitted to enable the customer to retain the crutch of benefits while trying to start their business. I have witnessed several successes and failures but at no time has anyone FORCED a customer to take on unmanagable debt ( perhaps you were advised of Career Development Loans)

Pathways To Work is a mandatory programme run by JCP in some regions and by private or 3rd sector companies in others. Regardless you will not be forced to do anything you don't want to. There are restrictions on funds available and surely you would not want the Government to sink unlimited taxpayers money into a business run by someone who has admitted difficulty in undertaking any form of work.

I must take issue with your use of the word "scum". I realise that you you feel hard done by, but i really get annoyed by the endless and seemingly unchallenged tirades against the hard working, honest and human workers of DWP expressed on this site.

Like any organisation there are weak links but the majority of workers have a real desire to help and many, like myself have in the past and could in the future demand higher remuneration in other sectors, but remain in the DWP.

But, back to your point (although not too sure what it is).
If you want to start self employment and cannot gain the financial backing and/or have serious health issues then maybe you should take stock of the situation and evaluate the potential risks of progressing. If you decide to continue then please ensure your "product" is commercially viable to sustain you without benefits after the end of the test trading period.

Just remember PTW can not and will not force ANYONE into employment. They may however actively promote employment and offer advice, There IS a difference!
