Warning Pathways To Work !

just found your other post about this.....you say that they would give you a grant of £3000 but it is not enough for what you want....grants always have limits...perhaps you should have asked how much they would give you before putting your own money in and starting it..

They kept me busy with listing advantages, disadvantages, legal requirements, getting products made up for market reasurch but nothing was really explained and my questions were not being answered

and why put in money to start this when you clearly state they werent answering your questions?

They are going to start MAKING people take part in these sort of things and if they are being lied to and bullied like they tried to with me there will be alot of people ib debt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i doubt it very much as i dont have any money/savings and am not stupid enough to get into debt....they cannot force you....i will be happy enough finding a job i am capable of doing and 1 that is within my means.

They started by telling me they were not going to mention loans because they understood my position re current debt. They said the amount I needed and what I needed it for was not a problem this would be found form grants money ! There is an arts grant but I cant apply for this as there is a part I can not forfill and they will not provide me with someone to do this as I can not ! Strange !? I thought disabled people were suposed to get suport in returning to work !!!!!!

I put money in because it started off they just bombarded me with questions and things to do, it was not untill I opened the bank account and had to answer all their questions also there is a questionable section on the form and it stated on the next target thing they give you that on the 20th which is the date I would have seen them with the final lot of jobs done it said 20th test trading starts ! I thought what !? How am I suposed to start test trading !? I will have only just finished what they have given me I wont even have the grants money ! What an idiot !!!!!

Well you are lucky that you are capable of that sort of work not everyone is ! Some people love working like me and I would do anything to be working again unfortunatly I am reliant on the goverment to be able to do this !

They will be making people take part in Pathways to work its like New deal they made people do that ! The first people on Pathways to work were voluntry I think it is this month that people start being made to do it not sure ? Im glad im out of it now it was in a shared building and I always got verbal abuse off the other flours when I saw them on the stairs, how do you explain to people whats its like for the goverment to need a rocket up their !!!! so that you can be working again !

I'm not sure what it is you actually sell/do, but why don't you just get a job in that line, and then you will get a wage with no outlay from yourself

If your product is so great and could make you a lot of money then surely it makes sense to take out the loan they are offering, unless of course you have no confidence in the product, in which case even grants wouldn't help, they'd allow you to run a weak enterprise for a few months before having no cash and quitting it.

yes they can make people take part in pathways to work but under no circumstances will they be forcing people to start up their own business!!!! they are offering help...as i said i am on it myself!!!

Morglin, sadly there are very few of these jobs, it is a most art bassed jobs self employed !

Bamber19 I have already teken £15,000 of debt and was desparate for £3000 more to cover insurance and softwear they got me to print out my protfolio saying there was grants money they said how wonderfulll my work was how I should really be doing exibitions etc then they said there was no money ! I lost most of my equipment in an accident and £3000 would not replace this let alone be enough for the other things I require !

They tried to tell me that I could do a 3 month test trading after which I would have to be off benifits ! The test trading date was going to start while I was still unable to make any income ! And they claimed at the end of test trading I MUST draw my wage FIRST then pay the companys running costs then the money would be put into thet equipment required to start producing new work !

The BENIFITS people said that I take out ALL MONEY FOR EQUIPMENT AND EXPENSES THEN DRAW A WAGE AND JUST LET THEM KNOW HOW MUCH IF ANYTHING THIS IS !

Quite a big difference in this alone as to the future of any company starting up let alone one that reqires expensive equipment for quality that requires replacing every 2-3 years !

The point I was trying to make although I would desparatly love to have the help so that I can be working and earning again is that I WANT TO WARN OTHER PEOPLE ! OBVIOUSLY ITS VERY UPSETTING WHEN YOU ARE SO DESPARATE TO BE FED A LOAD OF LIES AND FAULSE HOPE AND THE INCREASED DEBT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT WELCOME EITHER THEY ALREADY KNOW I AM PHYSICALY SUFFERING VERY MUCH DUE TO THE DEBT I AM UNDER AND HAVE OBVIOUSLY MADE THIS SITUATION FAR WORSE !!!!!

If you must be so personal in pulling me to peices I have on sereral occasions tried to enter competition as I could win £15000 on some of them, unfortunatly every single time I have tried I am so stressed about this that I am phisically to sick to be able to enter ! AND YES THEY KNOW THIS AND DESPITE PROVING I CAN PHISICALLY AND FINANCALLY MAKE A LIVING FROM THIS THEY HAVE !!!!ED ME OVER YET AGAIN !
