Afraid not. Read the small print booklet, specifically 4.3. I have posted it in this thread if you don't have one.

Answering the above questions.

a) Yes, the money will still be there after 3 months time if you do not use it.

No it won't. 4.2 in the small print says that credit doesn't expire provided you top up every 30 days. 4.3 says the phone will be barred.

b) The sims don't have anything on when you get them so you have to top up £10. When you register (which you can only do after topping up £10 you should get £2.50 credit about a month later.

Oh dear. Now I am just confused! I found Lellie's post really useful. However the booklets do back up what the 02 shop told me. Does anyone else have experience of leaving these sims longer than 30 days between top ups?

I've left money on there for 4 months without topping up.. using about 30p a week for the time.. nothing happened then.. no mention of them barring the phone etc..

It also says somewhere that you don't need to top up every month.. only to get the free texts..

I have 2 different versions of these sims so maybe the new ones are different.. I haven't used a new one yet but we'll see.. (a fresh start on the cover)..
