That's a shame, the poor woman.
I can relate to a bit of the story from the son's perspective. My parents divorced at 15, so at 16 I was out working. I did resent having to pay my Mum extra for the housekeeping, I resented it because my co workers of a similar age were paying under £100 per month, or some were paying nothing at all! (my Mum wanted me to pay around £200 per month out of a total wage of around £600)
I had no concept of money or what things cost back then, and I did used to argue about it as I felt cheated with my narrow perspective, until my Mum showed me what the outgoings were, how little she had of her own wages left etc, then I understood, didn't argue anymore, and just got on with it.
This is too big a burden for the OP to cope with on her own, her son has to grow up a bit earlier in the circumstances, and if made aware of what is happening will I'm sure look to bring some sort of money in to ease the burden, even if only to cover his own living expenses, at least one thing less to worry about if nothing else.
Lots of people concerned for you ivehadenough, at least come back on and say "I'm ok" if nothing else.0 -

Has anyone PM'd him?
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
