It is 'Boots' really as you are comparing products.
I like Aldi for lots of things, in fact my computer was from there, three years ago and has been brilliant.
They may be no frills shops, but why pay for fancy shops?
It is just having the courage to try brands that you don't know.

Thanks Dollardog - I didnt want to offend anyone - I agree we are always sold by the hype of everything and at the end of the day this whole site is about Money Saving and if just a handful of people try the aldi product and think its better than Boots P&P then those few people will save loads of money over a year and that means that more people who are in debt etc can pay off a bit more off a credit card each month which in turns means less interest to pay to the credit card companies. Why line the big boys pockets when we can have a few pounds more left over at the end of each month to treat ourselves.

The glitched on this Boots thread are wonderful and have saved me loads of money and I am ever so grateful to all the Bootsers who take the time to post these glitches etc.

Happy shopping everyone - have a great day

    Vickym xx

I know a couple of people have posted that the Palmolive offer has finished, but are you sure?
I just looked up some Botanics things and when I tested putting them in my basket, it put in some Palmolive too. It didn't say 'out of stock' at that point.

I fancied trying it after people on here have recommended and I just realised this morning that it is one of the small miniatures in the "scent of occasion" gift set, that I got for half price £9.

I've only just put it on and I know you need to wait awhile for it to adjust to your skin chemistry but it seems a very nice smell, not too heavy but not wishy washy. At the moment for some reason blancmange springs to mind, with a hint of parma violets, don't know why maybe I'm hungry lol.

I'll see what comments I get today, if any, and let you know what I think later. hth

Can't say 'blancmange' springs to my mind when I smell it LOL....takes all sorts (lol).
I forgot about the Scents of occassion, I got one in there too, although that is destined as a present.

Which Botanic things were they? Maybe they've changed the offer so that its free with different items now.
Last night the palmolive was free in the basket with the carex handwash, carex wipes and some shower gel. But this morning it wasnt there. so i assumed the offer had finished.
    Gotta love a bargain :j

    Morning All :j

Well I finally managed to get some time on my own to have a wander around my local Boots (Bristol, Cribbs)

Had my Illuminating powder voucher and a £5 No7 voucher; had a few other things in my basket that I needed and walked over to the No7 counter (heart in my mouth by this point  )

Lovely No7 SA asked if I needed help, I wanted to buy the Protect and Perfect so we had a chat about that. I picked up my P&P and then the Illuminating Powder and the GWP (pink box)

Paid at the main tills .... really lovely SA who said I could use the voucher from the magazine for the powder, but said I had it already. She gave me another mag and put through my vouchers.

I also got a random Lucky Ticket when paying which I can do online and enters my in a weekly draw.

I paid £11.75 .... got my P&P, powder and the GWP

I am very happy as I have been umm and arghing over buying the P&P for so long and after using a trial sample that I got at Xmas, really like it. And have these other goodies too.

I think I shall go back again tonight and get the P&P eye cream in the same way, if poss.

If it was not for reading how you girls get on I would never have thought of doing this and it has really brightened my day :j

Thank You so very much :A 's

I was going to take the wipes back as they are no good for what I wanted them for and was looking up how much some of the Botanics were that I bought in the 'glitch' and was toying with the idea of taking those back too.
I was looking at the moisturisers etc.

Although looking through, it only seems to be on a few things.

Perhaps it was because so many people were buying the 29p and 59p things and getting it free. Or because they have run out of those now.

I've just looked and its no longer free on the Royal Jelly handwash etc that I bought which is on BOGOF.

You ought to get the P&P set instead, you get a full size P&P along with 9 other samples, including the eye cream for £20, still get your GWP and if they will put it through, the illuminating powder with the coupon too, and you can use the £5 voucher, so only paying £15.
  • Just been in to Boots at the Royals Southend. They had the P&P sets. At the till the SA said I was entitled to the GWP and that she would get me one but I had one hiding in my basket. Paid £15 with the £5 pink voucher and received another voucher. Neither SA had seen the P&P sets before and were admiring them.
I then went round and did it again just for the hell of it.
They have about 3 sets left on display if anyone is interested.

People here have been talking about Gucci and Insolence. I didn't see any Gucci but loads of reduced Insolence (in black box).

Yesterday in the other Boots here I picked up 2 King of Shaves Shaving Gel in clearance. SA tried to charge me £6.6? I told here they were marked £1 each so she grudgingly voided them and put them through properly but the till reduced them further to 66p each = £1.32. She was not impressed but I was. Told my sister so she went in and bought the last 4. She was also impressed!

And I also asked if they had any magazines and was told they'd run out.

    Thanks for that Dollardog

I didn't see any other sets, but then I was so flustered I just wanted to get in and get out

Shall try and get that later then if they have it .... Ta very much :T
  • Been away from the computer for a few days and I'm not going to be able to catch up with the posts but..

I bought the P&P gift set from Burton on Trent yesterday if anyone is interested. They had about 4 or so on display.

Got the GWP and used a £5.00 pink skincare voucher. Till would not accept my extra ponts voucher from the previous GWP. SA went away to ask the No7 lady why it didn't work came back and told me it was because I needed to buy a full size product!
