wow thats cheap!!! thanks so much

Unfortunately, discovering online perfume prices makes me even more incapable of spend my Boots Points!
  • My olay pc voucher is a free olay product when you buy any olay total effects moisturiser, did you buy that? if not, thats probably why it wouldnt scan?

I think the pc vouchers have changed - mine only arrived on Tuesday - and it doesn't have some of the ones mentioned on the first post (e.g. no free disposable camera). My voucher was a free Olay cleansing product - and the wipes I bought were actually pictured on the voucher - which is a bit frustrating that it wouldn't go through!!!

I've "been told" (by my bf!) that I MUST get the Jean Paul Gaultier "Le Classique" perfume (or edt). Unfortunately it's really expensive, and I haven't been able to find it much reduced online either. It's £60 for the 100mL EdP in Boots and Debenhams. I'd be grateful if you could find it cheaper :)

p.s got some vouchers today for eye tests and glasses if anyone wants them,
Inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out - but I can usually shut her up with cake!

i'm pretty sure mine was just for free wipes no other item required - can't check now though as SA did put them through for me (so can't think she would have missed it as well?). i'm just looking at the other vouchers (I've thrown the booklet bit away - trying to be organised with my paper recyling) - they're valid until 31/10/08 if that helps? one of the vouchers is for BOGOF on the mediterranean pregnancy range so could this mean the vouchers are the pregnancy ones?

thanks for your help (i will press the button)

I know sometimes it can feel like we're doing something a little naughty against Boots when we work out our bargains/glitches etc., but thinking about what you said above passion8 I now think that we're probably one of Boots's best selling agents.

For a case in point the Gucci Rush set - my mum bought one in her local small boots, she didn't recognise it at first as it's normally in a red box, so wouldn't have noticed until my sister pointed it out to her. She told me about her bargain as she knows I'm totally into bootsing now. She'd bought the last one so I looked on line under "special offers on selected fragrance" as it was reduced and it didn't bring it up so I assumed it was sold out. I put Gucci Rush in the search engine to find the RRP for her and it was then it brought up the gift box, so I ordered two for myself and in my delight posted here.

Told mum who decided she'd like another couple - I put them in my basket and left it 'til the morning as I knew I as getting up for the sale and this way she'd have free delivery (me too) by the time I'd got up at 5am they'd gone from my basket and were out of stock.

As has been often said, Boots site is a shocker, the indexing it to pot, it freezes on you, it nicks stuff out of your basket while your shopping and I really don't think those sets would have sold out unless I'd posted it on here as you wouldn't even know the bargain was there unless you were going to pay full price anyway.

Look at the palmolive stuff, posted on here and within hours sold out. The P&p sets, if left to .com would not have sold as everyone would have thought it was 15ml p&p serum and not such a bargain, but because we could put everyone right - loads more sales (if you can get them that is ;) )

Now I know all the above and many many more have only sold because we were all getting a bargain, but my point is (and I'm getting to it, honestly!!)
some boots bod has decided that selling at the price they are (however reduced) they are still making a profit/getting rid of unwanted stock to make way for more profitable lines and are happy to trade at that price and whether we buy them all at once, or they sit on the shelves and take forever because everyone is too busy to realise what a bargain they could get - the end result for Boots is that they have sold stock and that's what they are in the business of doing. I actually think they should welcome the mse'r with open arms as we are one of the best marketing tools they have got.

So go boldy into Boots today and claim your bargains/glitches in the full knowledge that you are an unofficial unpaid member of their sales team!!!

    End of lecture:p

Hiya pinkytots and all and what a great lecture lol. You're not a Gemini are you? ;)

I read this before I dashed out (to Boots obviously lol), and it got me thinking about this "rush" on Gucci - excuse the deliberate pun :D I'll be honest, I love designer perfumes, but I've completely bypassed Gucci for some reason.

Now it's got me interested ;), and, like Daisy Flower, was given a stick sample of the Gucci by Gucci. So I'll stick one or the other on a wishlist lol. I never buy perfume for myself, (might make an exception for Pure Grace by Philosophy ;)) but I'll probably buy Gucci on reduced, as presents.

I'd never have even thought of it if it hadn't have been mentioned on here. The same goes for Insolence (which often gets a plug!) So I've already spent about £60+ in my head - all down to these Boots threads :)

Yourself, and a few others, should be getting discounts or bonus points at Boots :D As for the P&P sets .... you should be on staff discounts and BOGOF for them lol. I thought it was a pretty gift when I thought the newly packaged beauty serum was the body serum. So it was a real bonus finding out it wasn't - and bought two lol. (I still think the stores will have plenty of these in stock by the weekend btw). I can understand how they've sold out.

You only have to see how many people view the threads, then tell friends etc, to realise how the stampede began. (I blame you for the shortage LOL - and for me spending more than I should, but on a decently priced bargain gift, for a change :)).

Before the sales started, I'd skimmed over the Boots threads - I thought you were all crazy peeps rofl :rotfl: I'd even tell my OH about you all :o and I think he thought you were all a bit nuts too  lol. But if I'd have only read these threads a bit earlier, I'd have been quids in. I bought 3 sets of Dior Addict 2 - at full price. Imagine the savings if I'd done as I've done this year and bought 3 more, albeit smaller versions, for 1/3 off and points on top! Then there's also Quidco to be taken into account, and it's all thanks to these posts and posters.

Now, I'm like a demented woman rushing around Boots for all these bonus points (with the help of my sister - who thought she was Boots savvy until I mentioned a few of the recent posts lol, and my oh, who, all of a sudden, LOVES Boots  ;) ) and it's all you Bootsers faults ;)

But possibly the biggest lesson I've learned is that when someone spots a good bargain (not necessarily a glitch) is to wait. Because the bargain gets posted, everyone wants one lol, but a few posts later there'll be someone reminding us about Quidco, or that if you buy two you'll get one free, and so it goes on ..... and on ..... and on lol. A bit like the Palmolive stampede last night. But if you wait too long and it's gone, then it wasn't meant to be and it's not as if it's a life or death situation (although I worry about those early risers and how their sleeping habits have been affected :D).

Look at me now!! Writing long posts about nothing nor something, when I should be reading more posts, or my receipts from today's Boots shopping ;)

I'm off to look at my points total and see how it was achieved. If I found a bargain, (doubtful lol) I'll post it up later, but just wanted to say once again, a big thanks to you, and everyone else on here. It's a really close community imho :) x Thanks for the post :)

(If the recent online order goes through, does anyone know of a cheap storage unit for the mountain of sponges I ordered with the free Palmolive, please? ;) ) Colours c/o jamtart lol.
