it was only the 1st few batches of the s500/w580 that had the problem with the keys cracking.Changing the subject slightly - I'm just about to get (probably) a W580i but there are loads of reports of problems with buttons cracking etc.
Are there any good reports of the phone? It looks great and I want one but all the problems are putting me off. Please can anyone who has one let me know how they are getting on?
Is it really as problematic as the web reports or do the majority of you have no problems?
SE recalled the phones that were affected and replaced them as the paint that was on the keys reacted with something to crack the keys.
i have just recently got a couple of w580's and used one of them for about 2 weeks and the keys didnt crack0
