Attention NI motorists

I don't necessarily want punishment, I want better training in the first place, maybe we should all be forced to be retrained every 5 or 10 years? Not necessarily a retest, but maybe you should take 3 lessons with an instructor to be corrected on our faults. We all have them!
This would be one form of money-spending that in the long run could be money-saving (if it reduces accidents). I agree that ALL motorists should have some form of re-training every 10 years.butterfly )i(0 -
The amount of people who go to the LEFT hand land lane at a roundabout, when they're going off to the RIGHT (ie, probably the third exit) then stay in the outside lane the whole way round, is another one the makes me fume, yet is also a wholly dangerous maneuvre too.
Yep and they have the cheek to indicate that they are going right, around the roundabout, in the left hand lane.
I drive for a living and I do try to be as careful and courteous as I can, some people just don't seem to give a hoot as long as they get from a to b in the quickest time

There seems to be a huge amount of idiots who use Sandyknowes so I fully understand! I'm that stunned by people who drive badly that my kids now join in (they're 4 and 2!) with my ranting!Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0

Try cycling Sandknowes...now that's scary. I've had one very, very near miss. Driver approached junction with window down, looked straight through me and pulled on out. I'm quite a confident/competent cyclist but I now never assume anyone has seen me on a roundabout.0

You must have balls of steel, 105k! My mum will get off the M2 a junction early so she doesn't have to drive through Sandyknowes.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0

I prefer the female smoker.... you know the one.... fag in one hand, digging in the hand bag for a lighter, all the while swerving from side to side on the road!2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.0 -
I was nearly written off yesterday when arriving at work. There was a large lorry behind me and a prat in a Toyota Avensis decided he could squeeze between me and the lorry, swerved in between us, then realised I was already braking and turning left, so swerved back out again. I ended up clipping the kerb with both front and rear tyres and just made the turn.
Why do some people not read the road ahead and slow down? It's not just themselves they'll be killing :mad:Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0 -
I used to deride 'baby on board' stickers on cars - I thought they were pointless. Now I realise it's not to ensure other motorists drive with more care, but rather to warn other motorists that a mother of young children is at the wheel. I'm afraid, when we have little ones howling in the back, many of us make more mistakes

Those things annoy the life out of me.... if you have kids on board, slow the **** down and drive with just the smallest amount of responsibility!2 + 2 = 4
