    Braking hard, THEN indicating!!!

The whole point of indicators is that it lets people know your about to maneuvre in ADVANCE
  • Most motorists consider the motoring laws to be nothing beyond an exercise in blocking their freedom. Unfortunately they are just too darned stupid to realise that they are there for their own good.

Totally agree! Cars may have come a long way but I don't think pedestrians have evolved fast enough to cope with the speed some drive at in built up areas either:confused:

I've had so many near misses this week that if I wasn't pregnant and responsible, I might consider letting people just drive into me and make some large claims.

Pet hate of the day: people in the wrong lane just driving into yours without indicating or even looking.

Crappest juntion of the day: junction going from millfield to carlisle circus. There are big signs which tell you which lane to be in (ignored by the non indicating lane changers), and the yellow box is too small. Looks like a keystone cops movie during rush hour:mad:

In the name of gawd! will you swtich off your front fog lights!

Driving to and from work I get dazzled by motorists driving with their fog lights on.................. Its not even foggy.

    Here comes the moneysaving bit!

You will get fined when caught driving with fog lamps on.

It's a conspiracy by specsavers to make you take anti glare lenses...

I could go on all day here

People who indicate once the lights have changed at junctions, why can't they indicate on the way to the junction so the person behind can move to the inside lane in plenty of time.

People using fog lights is a real pet peeve of mine too! Also people who dont correctly adjust their light settings, so lots of peoples lights are too high and they blind you aswell, oh and those Zenon or whatever headlights, HATE them!

I actually went for an eye test last year because I thought it was just me and my eyes, but was told it's a common complaint. So my eyes are fine but I still try not to drive at night because some @s$holes dont know how to operate their cars properly

Couldn't agree more. Should punishment include penalty points as well:rolleyes:

I don't necessarily want punishment, I want better training in the first place, maybe we should all be forced to be retrained every 5 or 10 years? Not necessarily a retest, but maybe you should take 3 lessons with an instructor to be corrected on our faults. We all have them!

There used to be adverts on during the seventies (showing my age now!) showing people how to navigate roundabouts, how to perform maneuvres, etc. I think they should redo those.

The amount of people who go to the LEFT hand land lane at a roundabout, when they're going off to the RIGHT (ie, probably the third exit) then stay in the outside lane the whole way round, is another one the makes me fume, yet is also a wholly dangerous maneuvre too.

Tractors - Sat in a row of traffic today, easily 50 cars long behind a tractor doing 20mph. There was loads of opportunities for him to pull over for a minute and let everyone past, but no, 'im all right jack', so sod the rest of us.

Some people dont seem to realise there are other people on the road at all. No consideration.

Tongue firmly placed wasnt really suggesting points- when the death penalty is probably sufficient!

Seriously though we all do have driving faults and minimising those would be a great benefit to all road users. Manditary additional testing would cause the current system to fail.
Would probably suggest a voluntary test of competant driving with a recognised certificate that encouraged insurance brokers to reduce premiums for those holding such a certificate. Would then offer folk an incentive.
But for that split second that the right indicator goes on at the last minute the death penalty seams too lenient:D

Could we get death rays fitted to the front of our cars so we can vapourise the offender in front, I would use it at least 5 times a day :rotfl:

Think how quickly people would improve their driving :D
