Hi tinksy,
There's an earlier thread with some recipes that may help so I've added your thread to it to keep the recipes together.

Just a thought, really cheats way. why not let some vanilla icecream soften slightly add the frozen fruit, giving it a really good stir, put back into freezer.
I do it at xmas with a jar of mincemeat, absolutely beautiful even if I say so myself xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I know this isn't exactly what you were after, but I once made Delia's lemon meringue ice cream to eat after Christmas dinner (I don't have an ice cream maker) and it was absolutely amazing and just perfect for when you're really full but can't resist eating something light but yummy.0

Don't laugh but this is the story of a woman who doesn't throw things out:
I had in my freezer a bag of tropical fruit which needed using up, so I thought I might try making jam with it in my breadmaker...
I didn't have preserving sugar, so I used granulated sugar, worked alright however not totally set so dh won't use it on toast.
Now I can not throw things out so I was hunting for a recipe for what to do with 16oz of jam and hey presto I did find one: click here
It is seriously delicious and will be eaten in no time!0 -
For anyone interested in buying an ice cream maker, https://www.boffer.co.uk have one on today only, while stocks last for 14.99 plus 2.99 postage, up to 3 per order. They get decent reviews on amazon, and you don't need to pre-freeze the bowl (battery operated and churns while in the freezer, batteries are reasonably priced nowadays and rechargeables are available, apparantly they last for about 25 uses)
Hope this helps someone!0 -
