Breadmaker question

Following the invaluable advice form this thread, I decided to buy a bread maker this week. I bought it at Lidl, and didn't pay loads because I thought if I couldn't get on with it, I didn't want a lot of money sitting in my kitchen not being used.
I have carefully followed the instructions and made 2 loaves of bread. For the first, I took the paddle things out of the loaf tin shape thing just before the baking started.
On the second (having thought I'd learnt from the first) attempt, I left the paddles (kneaders) in.
BOTH times, I couldn't get the loaf out of the loaf tin.... Now I have been given a loaf of homemade breadmaker bread before, and although I remember seeing holes in the bottom of it, it certainly wasn't given to me in 6 broken apart pieces (that's how both mine ended up)!!
Can someone please advise how you get the bread out of the tin, when it is attached to the tin by the kneading paddle things? Sorry if Im being dim - but hope you experts don't mind offering me some advice?

My first ever BM was Breville one and it had exactly the same problem as you are experiencing.I bought a plastic palate knife to loosen the bread from the sides of the tin and then it usually turned out successfully. It sounds to me like its either not a non-stick tin or the quality of the non-stick is poor.Personally I'd package it back up and return it to the shop and tell them its faulty and get your money back.I've known people who have had these machines before and they really arent much good.Better to invest a little more and get a better quality machine that will produce nice bread and earn its keep

I can loosen it form the sides, it just wont come off the bottom - how do more expensive breadmakers deal with this problem?0

Unfortunately for you the more expensive Bread Machines do no have that problem.
Our experience of Bread machines is that 'You get what you pay for'I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
They dont deal with it any differently but the quality of the coating on the bread pan means that they really dont stick and mine turns out easy peasy every time.

I just turn mine upside down and tap it onto the work top or a bread board if it sticks.
Start with light taps and just get heavier if it's stubborn

I have a cheapo bread maker, and I get exactly the same problem.
I get round it by using the bread maker to make the dough and then baking it in the oven. That means I can do rolls, loaves, pizzas - anything. The only problem is that you can't use the timer and wake up to a freshly-baked loaf in the morning0 -
Has anyone else had this problem with a brand new, more expensive machine when they first started using it?
I don't know now whether to persevere in case the knob things do slide off their fitting easier in time, or to take it back.0 -
I bought a Hinari years ago and the bread always used to leave the pan with the paddle in it.
I bought a panasonic before Christmas and haven't had to remove a paddle from a loaf yet. The bread comes out, the paddle stays in the tin.0 -
When the machine finishes just use a plastic knife/back of spoon and push down the sides of the loaf, then turn the pan upside down and use a tea towel and turn the spindle and wiggle it a bit and out it will pop.
I have the panasonic 53 and it does get stuck sometimes.hth

Mine's a Hinari. The paddle always used to come out in the bread to begin with. Then it seized on to the shaft and it never sticks in the loaf - it just rips the bottom out of it. That's why I do the actual baking part in the oven.0
