Breadmaker question

A Panasonic here too........and turns out beautifully every time. If its sticking or ripping the bread then I would either get it exchanged or get my money back and get a better quality one..........after all......what is the point in having a bread maker if you have to cook it in the oven every time??0

Panasonic too...I just turn the tin upside down and give it a bit of a shake and it pops out nice and easy. The paddle has only stayed in it a couple of times and I think that was when I hadn't put quite enough liquid in.
I agree with the others, unless you're happy to cook your bread in the oven take the BM back and wait till the panasonic's on offer again0 -
Yes, fair comment. But I've had mine for ages now so there's no way I'd get a refund. Plus I've kind of got used to how it works, and I actually like to use it to make the dough because I can make different kinds of bread.0

I had 2 loaves this week stuck fast in my Panasonic , But thats because the bread just didnt bake well , i put my problem down to the yeast being too old , changed to a new packet and its been fine . I also use slightly less water then the recipe suggests0

No problems with my Panasonic - the paddle stuck once, but on a wholemeal programme, so probably not enough liquid (operator error!!).
I had my last machine for 6 years and only had a problem with bread sticking during the last year or so. (It was a Kenwood).

Thanks for all your comments.
I will have another go today, with a bit less liquid and twiddling the paddles from outside. If that doesn't work, I will take it back.0 -
I have seen other posts saying to lightly spray with cooking oil before loading ingredients, same as some do with fryingGardener’s pest is chef’s escargot0

I just have trouble getting the paddle out afterwards, takes a bit of tugging!0
