A USA reverse number lookup reveals the following:
So, Florida for your hols again? We're sorry. We did not find a listing for the phone number you entered.
The phone number "(352) 219-0069, Kenwood Avenue, 60630" is a Gainesville, FL based phone number and the registered carrier is Sprint Spectrum L.p. However, due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider other than the registered carrier0 -
Isn't + the short key for 00(1), the American code for international dialling, cos +44 is used to call UK from elsewhere.
Are you going to press 7 to see which Florida hols you are going on :rolleyes:Moi....?

Well it has been very nice to read all of your input. Thanks everybody.
I did wonder whether it was a scam, that's why I didn't answer.
Anyway, I received another call, and this time it was from +4413522190069. So I answered it as it looked more legit. Unfortunately I had not won a holiday, but it was a person on the other end asking for someone I had never heard of. So I'm afraid this is a bit of an anticlimax!
Looks like those who advocated the number being Welsh are correct. Though I do like the idea of being called from Florida!
I still don't get why it didn't come up as 013...
Apologies if I have just publicised someone's phone number!0 -

is that right then why did my daughters credit dissapear when she answered a call that kept her hanging on the phone.. not everything is a myth... im a great believer in not believing everything thats been said or written unless it happens to myself or family.. this did happen so much that she changed her number to avoid happening again ..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear

I have no idea.No doubt there was a good reason for this.Did you ask the provider why?
The suggestion of if you press a button during one of these type of promotional calls that you can be charged for an expensive call is a urban myth. Because it is not technically possible for an incoming call for which the caller is paying for, to be changed to an outgoing call in mid flight, for which the reciever starts paying for.PF.0 -

yes i am aware of that but with mobiles its different.. its not normally at the time of the call its after when they take the money.. for example when you sent a txt for a comp .. 80000 numbers you get a reply back thats when the 50p or £1 costs kick in .. this is what happens with these calls they ring you you press whatever and in my daughters case they asked her to confirm her number by pressing 1. then withing an hour her credit just seemed to go down and down till she had nothing left. she had £15 in there.. the provider couldnt say weather or not if we topped up they would take more so we got her number changed. Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,

I would still say it is American. About the +441352...etc, sometimes American originated calls have a +44 erroneously added in front0
