Cheap mobiles with decent battery life?

I have been out of the mobile market for a couple of years now and all the review I read of potential new mobiles all have a major complaint about battery life. Are there any reasonably priced phones out there which have a battery that can last a working week rather than a couple of days? I am not looking for anything fancy just a reliable mobile.

The Nokia 6310 has a whopping battery life, this was the choice of reps when they first came out...the battery goes on forever.

Generally speaking SE has better battery life!

The Motorola F3 has an extended battery life, because of the type of screen it has. There are a few on Ebay.

Nope. SE are the worst offenders for bloated battery life claims. They are not even close! Nokia is your best bit.

Nokia 6310i has to be the favourite here. It goes on forever!

If you can, go for the Nokia E61 or E61i, they both work like a power horse!

Have you tried the 6300 etc ? They have abysmal battery life. I switched back to my trusted K750i as it had better battery life than the 6300 and my K800i.

Hmm, I'm relatively suprised to hear that as according to the stats on paper, the 6300 has a good battery life in comparison to most these days.. Interesting.

What I'm saying is that the quoted figures by manufacturers are only for guidance but the large majority of SE phones are not even close to the figures they state. I have always found Nokia's to be reasonably close to what Nokia claim. Remember it only for guidance though. A lot of it depends on the end user and what they use the phone for. More functions used = more recharging and shorter battery life

The 6300's battery life is appalling, I had one and had to charge it every two days. I've had Nokia's for years and the battery life has been less with each upgrade, but the 6300 was so bad I got rid, bought a k800i (my first none Nokia phone in 9 years) and charge it once a week tops, and I'm a heavy user.

Personal experience and other user reviews suggest otherwise.

I always test my phones on standby, I put in a SIM (not given the number to anyone else) and leave in a place where they can get full signal. Then I see how many days they last in standby. The 6300 lasts 4 to 5 days. K750i 10 days. K800i 7 days. A Samsung C300 I had lasted 14 days.

Nokia 6300 has a tremendous battery life........unless you use them. Calls really seem to drain the life. There have been countless articles on how bad the battery life is. Nokia should never have made the claims they have on this set. If you need a long life keep clear of this one. If you dont believe the posters already on this site google nokia 6300 battery life and you should be directed to lots of links.
I did read simething about an extended life battery for the 6300 but officially they do not seem to exist. If anyone knows more please share.
