I don't know much about those creditors. My experience is with CCs only. There are tons of posts within the forums detailing different creditors and people's views on them.

Sorry that I can't be of any more help.

    I've had GE (debenhams).

They were the ones who kept ringing and didn't add the flag they should have ;)

They wrote immediately and said no won't accept the DMP. Then when they got the payment from CCCS they wrote and said yes they will accept and stop charges - then two days later another department wrote and said they hadn't heard form CCCS.

Turned out they did accept, did stop interest and then transferred to Debt collection agency who just send statements saying keep on paying your agreed amount.

So all fine, but the departments don't talk to each other ;)

  • When working out your income what do you do about overtime? Some months my OH has none and others say £200 or so. It's never a guaranteed thing but will they request payslips etc

    Hi Mogminnie

Who will request pay slips - PayPlan?

If so - just tell them the score - and that it isn't guaranteed - they won't overstretch you because otherwise you wouldn't be able to keep up on the DMP.
  • Grrr, I'm 3 months into a dmp with cccs, and Halifax aren't playing ball, they're still charging interest on my credit card (why did i get a charity card? 21%!). Anyone had any dealings with them? I wonder if it would do any good to write a formal complaint - their website has a little section on what to do if you get into trouble, and says how they'll arrange a payment plan, grrrrrrrrrr, yeah right! I'm still getting loads of calls from them too - the last guy ispoke to said if i upped the payment they'd freeze interest! B*stards..
  • PP haven't asked for payslips just presumed someone would at some stage want to see proof of income or does it all go on good faith???? Will creditors not need assurance that they are receiving what I can afford?

Rayday told me the should NEVER get your payslips - and they are not allowed to ask for them - only PPlan - if they want them to draw up your DMP - but not your creditors.

CCCS asked for one when I set up the DMP back in May. No-one else has ever asked for any payslips or proof from me.

On my review I told CCCS my income had dropped a little due to tax change and they didn't ask for proof. ;)

I am sure I have a letter from somewhere that requests them to freeze interest - let me see if I can find it
