  • How much do you think a Lending manager earns a year and who pays for the premises, heating and lighting and the computers etc that an organisation like a bank needs to run its business?

:o Ok I will keep this short.

I had some money problems at xmas time and bounced a few DDs.

The bank then charged me around 150 quid making me overdrawn I was out the country for 2 weeks and when I returned intended to sort this out in a few days on the weekend I returned I had a car crash and ended up in hospital for around 1 week and its took me nearly 1 month to get over this.

So logging online and cancelling my DDs was last thing on my mind last night I had another set to with Lloyds on the phone and they have now charged me another 165 pounds in changes and intend to bill me 210 pounds at the end of March.

I wonder what I can do as I have said take me to court and I will stand there and just tell a judge what you have done to me with these charges and see what he says about it.

As I just think this is outrageous, I have explained to Lloyds to I am blue in the face and they just seem to not care or I get someone in India who does not even understand English.

    Any Ideas Peeps.

    Thanks

Ok, so you knew that you had bounced a few dd's, did you expect not to get charged? I ask this because you went out of the country knowing you had problems with your account. Did you not try to contact the bank? Find out when your charges were going out? (this will have been at the bottom of your statements and in letters sent to you)

I agree that since then you have had a bad time of it and as other posters have said, speak to the customer support unit. But I have very little sympathy for you original predicament.

u knew full well ur account wasnt in a good state from the bounced DD's, but u still went on and ignored the issue and left the country.... u quite clearly had money to spare if u were able to fly out the country... btw u had no acces to internet banking while away to credit your account?

u ignored the problem and quite rightly got charged per day u were overdrawn. if u had informed them of the problems before hand it would've worked in your favour...

I am not a bad payer. I simply forgot to pay once for which I am prepared to pay a one-off charge but not the astronomical charges levied by Lloyds TSB ie £15 for every day. I went overdrawn ONCE, on one day, not on 8 consecutive days. My balance on day 8 was the same as on day 1 apart from the charges.

It must be so nice for you up there on your high horse!

Simple cure, don't go overdrawn, you agreed to the terms of the Bank, live with it.

From the one above, looking down from his horse .. :rotfl:
