Hiya, I was just wondering how long they will keep fresh for, as I'm planning on making some for Thursday but don't want them to go off!

I tend to find with homebaking the products are best fresh on the day or the following day...:D

Thanks they took ages! Much longer than I thought! Unfortunately the nozzle on the icing was a bit big so couldn't do any little frills around the edge!

Try rolling up a piece of non stick baking paper - make a cone shape and fix with cellow tape or anything you can make hold! the tip should be so tight it's closed. now fill with icing and close the top by folding the top. cut a small piece of the tip and test- better too little and cut a second time! and viola! icing bag for frills :)

Hi NikNak, I just used packet icing sugar and water and just mixed it up, not too runny though. I then got one of those white icing tubes in asda, they come in all colours and you get 4 nozzles with them for the outside edges and writing. The writing nozzle is a bit big so it was tricky. I did the outlines first then filled in the blue with a cocktail stick - it's all I had.

The biscuit recipe was this one, I doubled it up and it did the big biscuit and 20 little ones with a bit left, I just shoved icing on the other 10 so they didn't look like anything and my son can take them for packed lunch.
