Hi All
I usually lurk around the evening time, but I have been into work to collect my final wages as the place is closing down. So now under pressure to find another job. Also trying to arrange vets to get my horse sorted with his booster injections (will help to make him more saleable). Made 2 chicken and leek premiers one for tea and one to freeze, otherwise just been lazy.

I know its no consolation, but it must be nice being too young for something like that!
But how do they expect to diagnose whatever the problem is? I guess they must be able to tell more from blood tests than I thought!
Have you tried the Fortisip drinks from the chemist - might be prescription only though...maybe you can persuade your GP to prescribe some if they think that's an option, as they have all the nutrition needed...my dad had them years ago after a stomach op.
Keren got it in one, I couldn't remember what they were testing for.
I can't have them. I was given a load after I had my jaw op in the summer, didn't agree with me.
Thinking about it, food is a real problem, you'd think they'd care more

Evening
Was up all night last night with Natasha, she was screaming for hours on end. She's got some sort of virus - headache, sore throat etc. We rang NHS Direct at 4am because she wasn't settling and we were a bit freaked out because a lump appeared behind her ear (which turned out to be a swollen lymph gland). She seems to be finally on the mend now, although she's still very cranky, but I'm hoping for at least a couple of hours sleep tonight.
Stu didn't go into work because he is still a bit upset about the accident and his neck is stiff, but he's been taking ibruprofen and he thinks he will be okay tomorrow.
I've been really good - I've been out walking with Tasha in her pram (anything to get her to have some sleep), and we were out for over two hours. And I haven't broken my diet for 4 whole days now!
Tig, I'm glad your daughter is okay hon. Kids are great aren't they - an adult would never have an operation and then want to go to the park!
Think I might try and have an early night tonight - my head is pounding - think I'm getting what Tasha has.
Hope everyone has a nice evening. xxx"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Good evening

Is anyone else still having pancakes? I am going to have some later on if the OH will make them as i am not as good as him at making them.
Weather here has been fab today, has really put me in a summery mood, but you know tomorrow will be just another rubbish wet day.
I am also panicking cos my family are coming at the weekend and my brothers GF is veggie and I am racking my brains what to make so that it doesnt seem I have just made something to make do
Any veggies out there with a favourite (easyish) meal? March 2006 £15,200+ in debt April £843.64 in debt - Debt Free date Sept 2009

yep sammiboo, it's pancakes tonight for dessert in the keren29 household tonight! Just whipped up some mixture. Yuummmmmmmmy!
A few veggie ideas that don't cost much
Cauliflower cheese with crusty bread and new potatoes
Chilli made with different beans (kidney, cannellini, butter, baked beans)
Potato and vegetable curry
Lasagne with big chunks of pepper, onion and courgette instead of the mince
Bolognaise, chilli or lasagne with Quorn mince if he eats it?
Mushroom risotto
Vegetable pizza
Big bowl of ratatouille with loads of cous cous
Add a big plate of garlic bread and/or some salad and/or tortilla chips! I've found the Sainsbury's Basics are the best ones out of the cheapy range of tortilla chips, but there isn't much difference between any of them really.
Hope that helps a bit!
