Similar to 10_66 Applied to Nationwide on the 15th March to transfer from Lloyds. Money disappeared on the 23rd March at Lloyds and in the Nationwide on the 28th March. Best tho' was that Interest was credited in Nationwide from the 15th March

A quick question please ladies and gentlemen,

I currently have a Halifax ISA getting 0.5% interest after it's ran the course of the year. Can I transfer this money into a new Halifax Direct Reward ISA to get it earning 3% (or 3.2%) for this new financial year?

They say they accept transfers from other providers but I can't find any guidance on whether I can transfer an old ISA with them into a new ISA with them!

    Thanks

    Jim

Yes, you certainly can transfer your existing Halifax ISA to their new one, simply give them a call and you may have to fill in some forms, other people who have done this may be able to specify the exact procedure. :j

An internal transfer should be easier and faster than an external transfer and I am sure that Halifax will be keen to hold onto your cash so they won't say "no"!

I think you'd be okay using this form posted on the Halifax ISA thread. Quick and simple.

I want to transfer ISAs from Santander and Nationwide to the Halifax.

On the Halifax transfer form it asks for the "Existing ISA provider name and address" - what should I put for the address for Santander and NW?

    Thanks

In the process of transferring my Santander ISA to Halifax. Used a sort code checker and got this address:

Santander UK plc, 21 Prescot Street, London, E1 8AD

    Hi,

I'm trying to transfer last year's Santander cash ISA to the Nationwide e-ISA which at 3.1% seems to offer the best for instant access allowing transfers in. I've received details of the e-ISA but no form to request a transfer. The Nationwide website says you need to complete this form to do a transfer but despite two requests the form still hasn't come.

Has anyone eles experienced this problem. Searching on the Nationwide site I've found what appears to be an old inward transfer form. I'm tempted to use this but wonder if I should delay until hopefully a transfer form comes through the post. This is particularly irritating as the rate for my old ISA has dropped to .5% and I want to move the funds as quickly as possible.

    Thanks for any advice.

Why not transfer to the Halifax 3% ISA? it may be 0.1% less, but Halifax will pay you interest from as soon as they receive your application back, so it will probably make up for all that waiting that the Nationwide ISA is giving you!

Nationwide will also give you interest from the day they receive your transfer request.

The only reason to go with Halifax is if you have a Halifax/BOS current account and so can get 3.2%.

ISA transfers now take very little time, so the whole "advantage" that Nationwide and Halifax are offering is negligible.

I just transferred an ISA from A&L to Nationwide and the backdating amounted to around 5 days. 5 days at 3.1% is worth just 0.04%.

The Prescot address is not correct. This is a processing centre for Direct debits only now....my cousin works there.....

    The correct address is

    Santander
    ISA Customer Services
    PO Box 1112
    9 Nelson St
    Bradford

Can someone advise me on the situation:

I have an existing natwest e-ISA which was opened on 10May 2009. I get around 3.01% interest on the account. Does anyone know if i can still transfer more funds to this account from a ISa held with anotehr bank?

Link to the account details below:
