Hm, that's a bit rubbish.
But then again, that's what I've come to expect from Abbey/Santander.0 -
I’ve got 2 ISAs with the Halifax: a Direct Reward and an ISA Saver. The Direct Reward matures on 3/12/09 and I have requested a transfer to Northern Rock. They wrote to me quoting the correct roll number and confirmed they would action the transfer this Thursday as requested.
Guess what?.........yes, you’re ahead of me, they’ve already closed the wrong one!
If the first phone call is anything to go by, this could be the start of a struggle to a. make them understand what they have done wrong, and b. to actually get them to put it right. They have promised a call back tomorrow.
I’ve been pleased with Halifax up to now, but I fear standards are slipping. Anyone else having similar trouble?0 -

Did you write a transfer date on the transfer form?0 -
Yes, I asked for the transfer to be carried out on maturity on 3/12/09.0

I am transferring my ISA from Royal Bank of Scotland, where I had a year guaranteed at 2% above usual rate to the First Direct ISA guaranteed until November 2010. However the money is still in RBOS at apitifully low rate and the tell me it takes 30 days to transfer...is this amazingly slow transaction usual?0

If their Ts & Cs say that they may take up to 30 days, then that's acceptable.
If they don't, then they should transfer it as quickly as their Ts & Cs say they will do it.0 -
Hello, I've just printed and filled out the transfer and application form for northern rocks fixed isa, but it doesn't say anywhere to post them to?! anyone have the address as i can't seem to find an address on the website either.
Also another quick question - it asks on the transfer from name of existing isa manager, my current isa is the barclays golden isa so is my manager just barclays and the address would be barclays main address?
any help much appreciated.

Hi all.
Regarding Northern Rock's fixed rate cash ISA Issue 127, can anybody confirm if you can transfer ISA's in to it? I have one maturing soon which I'd like to re-invest.

I cant find anything about transfers in the T&C, but the MSE newsletter stated "...The min. balance is £500 and it allows you to transfer in past years ISAs from other providers too..."0 -
Hi
I just have a question about which ISA acct I should transfer my money to. I currently have an ISA acct with HSBC which I have had open for several years, the interest rate is barely above 0% so I am looking to transfer the cash out.
The balance is £12000, looking at the site the Abbey National acct looks like a good one for me. Does anyone know if there are any penalties or a reduction in the rate if the money is withdrawn within the 12 month period?
I am trying to save for a mtg deposit so will be withdrawing most if not all of the cash in about 6-12 months time so don't see the point in transferring if I will lose out on the interest?
Cheers0
