Am I right that your Dell is a desktop, not a laptop? The ram in that first link is for laptops only."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

In all probability, no. SODIMMS are generally only used in laptops.
[edit: SS is too quick for me today!]0 -
The second one should be compatible."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

This one would probably fit the bill:

Do Crucial say PC2-5200, or PC2-5300? I'm not sure the former exists?0 -
fwor's is probably better as you could run into trouble using mismatched memory and it'd only run at the lower of the two speeds anyway."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-4200,DDR2 PC2-6400,DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.*
From Crucial. So on second thoughts there may be trouble with the 2 Gig one in your link."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Ah yes, well spotted, in which case two of these and the job's a good 'un:

or better (as the OP said way up the top!) two of these for max allowed clock rate:

Not quite...he is overpaying for the memory at that price. 7dayshop is 14.94 including P&P.
Funky Giraffe comes in a 10.49 inc for a compatible stick.0
