RSPCA Rehoming: What Happens?

Hey,
In response to your questions about Westies, it really depends on the Westie. My mum has had two Westies from puppies, wee Max passed away almost a year ago and he was as grumpy as westies come. He tolerated other dogs but wasn't really affectionate or playful with them.
Ailsa has just turned two and she is the most sweet, loving and playful dog I've known. Not long after my mum lost Max she got a cocker puppy and Ailsa loves nothing more than playing with her.
Good luck in your search for a playmate for Mickey!
Best wishes
Thank you guys
I really hope they get on well, I'd love to have another dog and a friend for Mickey!0 -
I wonder fi the RSPCA would tak the westie in then invite you and little Mickey to go down adn meet the dog there - wehre it is controleld and they could have time together.
When my mother inlaw rehomed a RSPCA dog they were given the home check and interviews but before all that because we were living with her at the time (me, bf and our son who was 9 months) we had to go down to the rescue every otehr day to visit her so she could get aquainted with us btu more specifically to see how she would respond ot Ben (my son) she was an absolute star - he was in is buggy the first visit and the next was sat ont eh floor and then the rest he was crawling round and throwing her ball - which i think cemented the deal as now they are inseperable and thats the first thing she runs for when she sees him coming.
Hope you find a little friend for Mickey soon and let us know how he gets on.Time to find me again0 -
Thanks

We're still waiting to hear, getting a little impatient now
Can't wait ^_^ 0
