Just saw the following on the Matter website - may be of some use?! I didn't receive the email so glad I looked!!


We’ve had some email problems recently, now fixed, and there might be some confusion about who’s getting which box. Two emails went out to Matter subscribers, last Thursday (13th Nov around 6:30pm), to tell them their box is coming and to update their details.
1. Everyone registered before 6:00pm, Sep 5th, gets the November box.
2. Everyone registered after 6:00pm, Sep 5th, gets the following box early next year.
After the earlier email problems, if anyone who is registered, but didn’t get an email, please send an email to me (contact[at]matterbox.co.uk with “NO EMAIL” in the title.

Royal Mail unveils first 'Matter' advertisers

Royal Mail has signed up Cadbury, Diageo, O2 and Harper Collins to feature in its new advertising initiative. The promotional box, called Matter, which will be sent out to consumers this Saturday (November 29) will contain free branded products created by the advertisers.

The Matter box will be mailed to over 30,000 consumers who have opted in to receive the promotional material.

It will contain a DVD cleaning cloth provided by LoveFilm; a Cadbury cranberry and granola chocolate bar; a DVD of a roaring fireplace created by Diageo; an O2 sim card pack; a shower gel by Original Source; and a book sample by Harper Collins.

The launch follows the successful trial of the initiative earlier this year when the box was sent to 1,000 ABC1 male consumers.

Royal Mail, which developed the initiative in partnership with Matter Media, is now talking to advertisers wanting to be involved in subsequent boxes to be launched next year.

Matter is a box that fits the standard dimensions of a UK household letterbox, containing a range of physical brand representations. It was created to enable advertisers to get their products and services into the homes of their target customers.

Am i the only one that a little dissapointed with that?

A chocolate bar a free cloth a free sim pack (free anyway) another free shower gel like in the test box (and is free anyway) a dvd of a fire (interesting..) and a free book which is likely to be one of those extra short ones...

Thats onlty 6 things so maybe the other 4 are better but they dont seem as imaginative as the test box! just some normal samples/freebies
Te DVD is the only interesting part of that lol

Still cant wait for the box, will be happy no matter what, but if that is what we get ill be very jealous of the test box!:o
