oh, with ya now lol
i couldnt really charge rent, i feel awful thinking about that tbh, i wasnt charged rent myself:s ...
Its all about educating him, getting him to pay rent will go a long way towards that. If you don't want him to pay rent, talk him into saving £XX pounds a month into a savings account that doesn't offer easy access.0 -

Instead of charging rent could you not make him contribute to food or pay one of the small household bills? That is what my parents did (they didn't want to charge me rent as I was saving for university). It would just make him understand how much life costs and give him a sense of responsibility. My aunt never made my cousin pay anything at home and when he left home he got into a terrible financial mess as he had no concept of budgeting.0 -
well to be fair, he does pay for alot of things that he wants himself, if he wants expensive trainers, then i will put some towards what he does, he runs his bike on the road petrol wise, i just worry he might get a bit too thrifty in a way, should charge for going near those dirty stinking socks lol x0

Hopefully this will highlight the problem to those in denial that all this debt is eventually going to bring the economy down. America is realising this and we are just 18 months behind them.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.
