ladies, I notice a number of you wondering if the coenzyme Q10 is the cause of irritation, I think this is unlikely as it is something your body produces anyway.

The use of retinol & retinyl palmitate commonly causes irritation & if you have sensitive skin it is probably best to do a spot test over a few days before you introduce it to your whole face. e.g I have INCREDIBLY sensitive skin & roseacea so have just been trying the night cream on my chin for the past few days (so far, so good!). The day cream hasn't produced any rash/redness as yet. Of course, it may be that the actual levels of retinol are so low in the siana cream as to be a problem.

It is also vital that you use suncream when using retinol products, although of course this is a night cream, I'm thinking some ladies may use it in the day. In fact the number 1 favour you can do for your skin & your daughters is to ALWAYS wear suncream, even when it's cloudy. I've been studying skin care for a while & this is a dermatologists number one rule.

Learn more about C10 & retinol from smartskincare.com under topical actives.
  • Hi ladies I have been reading your post on this topic and wondered if anyone can help me, i apologise if this is not the right place or way to do it..im a post virgin!!!!

I have tried several face creams in the hope to help improve my skin!!!! Including the Aldi cream, Boots, Clinic and many many more, but I have had a nightmare of skin reactions to many of them, so I thought my skin had become sensitive.

After going back to my Doctors a couple of times, they are now treating me as if i have Roseaca. The burning sensation has now gone and I need to try and find a cream I can use, but im scared of puting anything on my face !!!! Can anyone help me please !!!

    I have rosecea/sentitive skin.
It's not terrible but I'm affected by things like wind.

I found Sainsbury "So You" moisturiser to be very good and it's organic.
I don't think it was that expensive.

    Hi,
Can I suggest you try Rosehip Oil? I buy mine online from Rio Health and it's called Rio Rosa Mosqueta Oil. It lasts for ages too, so it's a good buy. I'd suggest you find out for yourself by doing your own google search and seeing the great reviews. Good luck.

As I've said on there, I particularly like Avene's Skin Recovery Cream (although I don't have Roseaca, so I can't vouch for whether it would be suitable for that). Good luck! :)
  • Hi again thanks for the advice, I dont know much about Roseaca and using products so think im going to try !!! and start a new thread asking for advice, wish me luck and thanks again!! :j

I tend to have trouble with wind at times, also, but I had never put it down to the wrong cream!! Live and learn....:rotfl:
