  • i just did online shopping for the first time and used a 1000pt code, my questions are,

    1) when do u get charged for the food? on the day that u are delivered it or earlier?

    2) i saw someone got their first delivery refunded, is this common practice?

    many thanks

    Will

In my experience they charge your card the day they bring the shopping as it is the prices that are prevailing on that day that determine how much your shopping comes to (ie with bogofs etc). It may not show up until the day after on your account though.

You can get codes for discounts or money of first deliveries. I would probably be able to find one for you somewhere but I think that as you have already placed your order it is too late. I suspect they wouldn't accept the 1000 points code AND a free delivery one as the website usually takes only one code beginning XX.

Hope this helps - please ask if it's not clear!

I ordered wine in October and used the 2500 points code and when points were not added to my total I phoned customer services and was told they would be added manually in January as they were experiencing problems with this code. Since then I have been keeping an eye on my points total and they have not been added so I rang them this evening as I was worried I wouldn't get them in Feb mailing and they added them there and then for me, my sister also used the code so she rang and they did the same for her.

Interesting this ... I phoned several days ago after having two e-mails stating that my 2500 points would be added in January prior to the February mailing.

When I phoned, I was told that the points would be added a couple of days prior to the cut-off point which is 29th January. They did not however tell me they had been having problems, nor did they add the points on for me there and then.

Now then, my slight worry is that not only have the 2500 points still not been added as of this morning, but I have just ordered some wine which will arrive tomorrow and that carries a 1000 extra points. So, apart from my in-store weekly shopping points, I am owed 3500 (minimum) points.

I am owed two 1000 points from wine, when I phoned earlyer this month, they also told me about problems with wine codes, and to ring back on the 25th January to see if they have been added.

I think I'll ring today, and try and sweet talk CS to add them today if possible. As I have two more shops coming on Tuesday and Wednesday with 1000 each, I need to try and make sure I'm getting the right 1000 points from the right shop before cut-off time.

I'm not sure if this is the place but I had to thank all those who contributed to this thread. I wanted to share how much saving I made on today's shopping: I've just worked out all the bogoff offers so its still an estimate but its a massive £27.30 including the £10 off £75.

    Subtotal of all items: £76.97
    Service Charge: £3.99
    Subtotal before discounts: £80.96
    £10 of £75[MJBMDRTQKYG6]: -£10.00
    Other Discounts (ie Bogoff, etc)-£17.30

    Total Discounts*: -£27.30
    Total remaining to pay*: £53.66

    THANK YOU!
  • Hi

How many different clubcard cards / accounts are each person allowed? I wanted to do 3 shops this week using the 1000 extra points for £50 shop but obviously cant use it 3 times on one card.
I phoned clubcard who said only allowed 1 clubcard account per person.
I dont want to do a account in my hubbies name as when you go to redeem the vouchers you then have problems with them being in different names even tho your married (so i have heard).

Has anyone else got more than 1 clubcard account? I am sure some1 said you can have upto 5 per person inc credit cards.

I dont want to break the rules and have my accounts cancelled and points took off me

Hi myself and my husband have a clubcard each but I combined our accounts so we only get one mailing which comes in my name, however I registered both our cards online mine with my email address and my husbands with his email address and this allows me to use each code twice, once with his clubcard and once with my clubcard. Hope this helps you

Be careful that your £10 voucher doesn't get rejected, I had mine rejected last week as my total to pay was below the minimum spend after they deducted bogof when they debited my card. I think Tesco has changed policy on this as alot of people have said the same thing has happened to them. I now make sure my total to pay in a few pounds over to be on the safe side.
