Tesco grocery online codes - discussion thread

I need a decent wine code which works! I guess Tesco must differentiate between the wine codes and the grocery codes, as I have tried a couple of grocery (I suspect) codes and they just don't work.
Not trying to be greedy (not 'alf) but it would need to be at least £10 or 1000 points off a £100 spend please.0 -
Wine code:
XX-4VMC 1000 points expiry 31/01/2006 minimum spend £50

If it doesn't work maybe you or an additional card holder have used this one before.0 -
So then ... are we supposed to have these codes, or are they passed on from people to whom they have been awarded and should not be used by anyone else?
Part of the reason I ask is that I have had problems entering these codes and the only one which FINALLY worked was XX-4VMC. Having said that, the order went through with this one, I have a print-out stating that "1000 Extra Clubcard Points (4VMCH34G4VNV)" and yet when I try to go back to view the details of the order it does not mention anything about these points - it does however mention the XX-WINE for free delivery.0 -

The points will be added on if it was accepted when you checked out.0 -
I did that £10 off no min spend code on Thursday night after reading about it here. Was slightly worried about it not working as I had it arranged for a few days afterwards to be delivered. Anyway, it's just come. Cost me £3.52 altogether and the code worked fine. Well chuffed, so thanks!Debts - [STRIKE]£9925.64[/STRIKE] £8841.88 :T Aiming to get below £9k by the end of Oct.

anyone know when the next deals are due out? Also, any ideas as to who gets their deals vouchers first? There seems to be almost a month between people receiving them sometimes"Sumptus censum ne superet"

I had exactly the same problem with a £50 wine order and this code. I phoned cs who after much deliberation they said the code wasn't valid but were very vague about why and asked where the code had come from and if I still had original "flyer" for it. They advised me to wait until wine was delivered and see if it worked, but they wouldn't confirm there and then. I cancelled the order in the end!!0 -
