Hm, I shower every morning and some evenings (depending on the day, but would only wash hair in the morning).
Tops get washed after every wear, clean underwear after every shower, jeans usually get washed after one wear, as I don't tend to wear them every day, and wouldn't put them back in the wardrobe after wearing them once... if that makes sense... only clean clothes are put away, clothes that are taken off go in the laundry basket or on a chair.
Kids' all wear uniforms. The girls each have two blouses, they get washed after one wear, jumpers and skirts once a week. DS has a fresh uniform every day - he's usually covered in mud after school (they play football every day and muck about in a field, and muck is the operative word). Girls' after school clothes usually last them several days, DS's just the one day... more muck...
My work clothes get washed every day, and they need it.
We use facecloths for faces, handtowels for handwashing and drying faces, and bathsheets for showering. One of each per person, replaced whenever, usually would get two or three days out of each, as long as they're dried properly after use. The kids shower at the gym after swimming, and hang the towels over radiators/bannisters on their return.
Sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers get washed at least once a week, often more than that, never less.
Duvets get washed once a month, as do the couch and cushion covers. Scatter cushion covers and throws get washed once a week.
Curtains get washed once every three months.
I wash all the carpets about every two weeks (could be more or less, but on average every second week).
The washing machine is usually on once a day, twice a day at least at weekends. I usually use only a little detergent, and if the clothes are not visibly dirty, will wash on a 30 degree wash.
Towels, bedding and whites get washed at 60 degrees *runs away and hides*. Everything else gets washed at 40 degrees.
Coats get washed (the ones that can be washed) every two weeks.
I will iron my work clothes every day, and that's it. School stuff is usually drip dry and no-iron. I don't iron their shirts as they don't take their sweaters off at school.
We are a household of one adult, three children, one westie and two cats. Dog gets washed once a week, usually in the shower.
I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.
