  • Hi mum,
Ohh the HSBC is now an employment agency:rolleyes:

No you didn't do wrong by not telling them.
The best thing to say is that ' your recieving advice on how to deal with your debts and will be in touch soon', or just ignore them.

They quickly closed one of my accounts too when i mentioned to one creditor that i'd spoken to CCCS. Can't say i blame them.

Maybe next time they call they'll offer me a job?! Although, the relocation to India might not be best for my little family right now!! x

Have you put your circumstances in writing to your branch so that they know officially what's going on-I assume CCCS have done this for you. They will close your credit card down because as 'responsible lenders', they have to otherwise the situation 'could' get worse. It's what ost banks do with customers in your circumstances-not to be prejudiced but so that the situation is not made worse. I have been in your situation...but not after having a baby so I can only imagine the pressure you are under at the moment....but all I would say in relation to the above post is please stay in contact with the bank about your situation, andswer every call and respond to every letter-even if it's just to say you've recieved it...that way, no bailiffs will be involved as you are co-operating. If you offer to pay as much as you can to the loan then they should accept it. You have done the right thing by contacting CCCS and they will liase with HSBC for you, I would of thought...but you're just in a difficult situation, remember you're not their first, and you won't be their last, so they will have dealt with the situation before-just be open and honest like you are and they will help-trust me!
Loan-£3600 only 24 months of payments to go!!!

    Thanks Scousebird.
I have been trying to answer all their calls- which isn't easy as they only seem to call before 8.30am, when i'm feeding my baby (running for the phone is quite hard when you've got a baby on your boob!!)
I haven't put my circumctances in writing though- i hadn't even thought of doing this (post baby brain, i'm afraid) and CCCS haven't mentioned it. I've only spoken to them about it- in person and over the phone. Should i get onto that as a priority or ask CCCS to help me with it? And does that have to be sent to my branch- so far they've refused even to listen to me because ''they don't deal with this sort of thing/these circumctances''??

When are you thinking of going BR?

TBH even if you tell them it will make little difference in fact they will probably up the pressure to get something out of you before you go BR. If you can ignore the phone calls until you go BR then you will be ok but if it gets to much then send them 'all communications in writing' letter. If you do a quick search of the DFW board then you find it.

thanks every1. I'm hoping to go bankrupt really soon- i'm waiting for abbey to close a joint account i have with my OH so i can write off to financially disassociate us. As soon as thats done i'll be getting the forms.
I took some money off my credit card before they closed it, to cover the bankruptcy fees (apart from that i haven't used it for around 3 years) so i'm ready to go- its just abbey holding me back at the mo!

I now have a date for my bankruptcy hearing which is 28 April, nearly 6 weeks away. I was told that they had a "whole long list" of people wishing to file for BR and were doing them in the order they rang in. I would say to anyone who is thinking about it, book yourself in, I have been procrastinating for far too long. I was hoping for a date earlier in April, mainly to get it done and also I am now going to have to ward off the phone calls from the creditors which are becoming a bit more regular. But still I suppose it is one step in the right direction.

I also checked whether I could file at the London RCJ more quickly but there definitely is a ruling that you have to file in the area you have been living for 6 months.
