How to Sell A Wedding Band?

Hi!
I still have the wedding band from my first marriage and I care not a jot about it. It sits in a box in a drawer. How can I turn this into cash? I realise it will probably go for very little but still anything is better than nothing!
Thanks,
Ossian

Take it to a local jeweller that does pawnbroking or uses old jewellery to do adjustments to rings etc. They may be interested - but no matter how intricate the pattern you will only get 'scrap gold' price for it.
May be worthwhile to add in some odd earrings if you have them or broken chains in an attempt to make up the weight of what you have to part with.0 -
why not have it remade into a new ring - you could have some stones added (don't have to be precious), add some more metal etc. My friend had her white gold wedding band made into a new ring and a diamond added for her little boy and it was lovely - like a new start! Many jewellers will do this for you. I had an old ring taken apart and the diamonds set into a new wedding band, and the gold made into another simple band - cost about £150 including the 18ct white gold band!0

I think the folks on the ebay and other auctions board will be able to help you with this one. They seem to know everything there is to know about selling anything anywhere.
I'm sure someone will be able to give you a great pointer.
So I'll move your post across.
Good luck.

You know I think the idea of doing something with the ring that might be a very good idea. Maybe get something made for my wife.
Hmm do you think she would be pleased or offended by me making a ring for her from my previous marriages wedding band?
Thanks,

Think i'd be pleased if I got a nice sparkling ring out of it - cos I know I'd never get one any other way in a million years from my beloved!!

I would speak to her first about it tho - can imagine lots of people wouldn't like a 'recycled' ring:pWho says I have to be normal?
