Thanks hun!
I think 7 years on, my post traumatic stress disorder has just about gone!
she did really well for her birthday, lots of presents cards etc. But she was most pleased today as she got 2 items of post, one birthday card, and another letter from a restaurant saying she had won a colouring in competition and won 2 x kids meals! She's easily pleased bless her!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Afternoon all
S'ruddy freezing here as well, but it was grey and raining this morning and it seems to have dried up now so I'll take that!
I sold 7 things on Amazon over the weekend so it's off to the post office today to post them all out and work out exactly what profit I'm left with, it should be about £40 I reckon :j I also found some dollars left over from when my Mum took me to New York a couple of years ago (best birthday present ever) so I'll be changing those back and seeing how much that is (roughly £30 according to the post office website) - it's not like I'll be affording trips to the states anytime soon :rotfl: .
I'm going down to a gig in Brighton on Friday, so the $ can pay my balance pn the hotel bill (about £14.25 I think) and for my eats whilst I'm away
Now I'm itching to get home from work (well, that's normal!) and find more things I can list.... CDs are the next to get tackled!

I really need to get my !!! in gear re Ebay-ing/Amazon-ing!!!
On the positive side i have a mystery shop booked for this weekm first one this year, and have done this place before, seem to remember they are quick payers.
Trouble is this one is in the small town where i work and i have been here before to MS, so hope they don't remember/recognise me from last time! Although i have had a big hair cut and will be wearing a winter coat so should look different.
Still it's all a little bit of extra money, and there is no spend on this one, so even better!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
were you working now? is it really nice out there i the world?
I'm working from home with AQA at the moment (long story but I wasn't ready in my head to go back to work after the last year of my time at the hospital) but I've just started applying for p/t jobs to sit alongside AQA- I don't want to give up the lovely situation of being able to work at home, earn money and chatter on MSE all day!!
It is lovely out in the world - the NHS really do brainwash everyone in some way to come back each day. I used to say to my colleagues that when we walked through the door each day a subliminal message would be pumped into our heads that said 'you love working here, you enjoy having no overtime paid, you postively relish the cut backs and general frustrations day in day out and you'd never consider working anywhere else, you will come back tomorrow'.............:rotfl:"Stay Wonky":D

Hi all!
All go here so far today-took DD to school then took DS to have a blood test-bless him, he was so BRAVE! Barely cried (although I certainly did...)
Whilst at the hospital, one of my best mates called in tears because her dad has been rushed into hospital-he's got Asbestitis and recently under went treatment for prostate cancer so she had to rush up to Liverpool to see him-I've now got her daughter for the day...Im so busy so should be fun with another toddler in tow!
I have to go to DD parent /teacher meeting later and in my wisdom invited a friend round for DD...so 4 kids later then! And then I have an interview to finalise NEW JOB details after 6! I'm also supposed to be going to choir tonight but that won't be happening...
Whew.I'm tired just writing it!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
