  • Yes,yankee candles"clean cotton "is gorgeous and fresh.Makes you want to take a big deep breath. You dont have to light the candle you could just sit the jar on a radiator and the gentle heat is enough to release the scent(they are quite expensive where I have seen them for sale anyway).

  • I can't take the credit for this, and I haven't got around to trying it yet either but on property ladder the wonderful Ms Beeny suggested putting lavender oil on a cotton wool ball inside your hoover bag before hoovering the house - apparently it leaves a lovely fresh smell everywhere.

Pink-winged has converted me to the yankee Candle "tarts" ;) They last much longer than the candles.

Thanks again, for even more helpful ideas. I bought some tumble dryer sheets today. I do have a Clean Cotton air freshener, but haven't tried it yet. Not putting the flat on for a couple of weeks so shall be trying out different ideas, I think I will be getting a headache. :D

I like to use one of those little aromatherpy oil burners with the little tealight burning underneath it. You can get some nice oils. Just a few drops of Lavender in the water is very refreshing.
