Regarding using 10% off voucher when redeeming, I have used them at:
High St Kensington, Ilford & Bond St whilst redeeming pts at the same time got 10% off too - no problems
Liv St tills did not seem to accept it although when they had their first 10% off eve and I redeemed pts, I got my points automatically without the voucher as tills set to take 10% off anyway but not on the second 10% off eve - they must have set them up differently for 10% off when paying only, tonite they have a third 10% eve - wonder how they will set their tills up tonite, eh?0 -
my local boots is doing a advantage card night tomorrow also triple points on offer
if i use a 150 points voucher on an item does that get tripled also or just triple normal points plus the 150 points
also the olay face cream with 500 free points does that get tripled if so you would be getting it for nothing in effect
thanks for any replys in advance0 -
Our local store is having their night tonight. I think it's 1200 points on £50 spend. Anyone know of the best buys and what to buy to get the most points. Thanks. If I had known then what I know now . . .

You only get triple points on the ordinary points and not the extra points such as 500 extra - unfortunately - it would be great if you did!!!! ;DTotal for 2009: L'Oreal Lip Duo, Diary, Motability Guide
Thanks to everyone who post comps - you are all :cool2:0 -
littlemisscheap - i want to do administrational/clerical work and they dont do any of that @ my local boots, as someone @ a place i was at for supported employment was trying to get me in there for admin/clerical work placement but they dont do such a thing!
i have in the past applied for secretarial work there but they dont do it anymore. i still have the letter in me file so quite pleased about that! tee hee!
anyway my grandmother wanted help with xmas shopping so despite having a tickly coughy cold me ended up in inverness and ended up @ boots. she spent £5 on non-prescription medicines and £4.97 on reduced shampoo n conditioner so muggins got ALL her points. also got two packets of the yoghurt covered raising and one packet of the brazil nuts *didnt want to buy anymore in case granny thought i was a pig and ill have to get banana chips for thursday anyway coz rangers ar on again!* which was another £2.77 so i must have made about another fifty p in points today. didnt really get a chance to look for anything for myself in boots as granny didnt have time to nosy as such just grab what she needed. i got me lunch n water in marks and sparks due to again being in the eastgate centre one with NO RUDDY MEAL DEALS and a pair of earrings in m+s with a 20pc discount for a xmas pressie plus some cards in clinton cards. that was all.
i think ill go and have a while out @ the Retail Park on Friday, at least i know at THAT BRANCH i can AT LEAST BUY MY LUNCH - sorry for the caps but its a big sore sticking points as i sorely miss my lunchtime doggybag with loyalty points on top, lol.
wasnt due to go in but still went anyway, i think i need to be locked out of boots for me own good, lol.my advantage_card is like gold dush0 -
Had cause to ring Boots today because I've decided I want the tv/dvd/vcr combi which my store don't do and they said they don't do cross store transfers. So rang Head Office - I eventually found a number and if you are like me and need a geographical phone number to take advantage of free phone calls, call
0115 950 6111
They will put you through to customer service anyway, and I'm not paying 4p per min when I can get that call free. ;D
So, some info some of you may appreciate :
Boots do do cross-store transfers, but not in November and December. Therefore, if you don't live near a store that does what you want, you should be able to 'order' it. I'm thinking this will be of particular use to those of us who have amassed thousands of points and want a wider choice of electricals etc - Seaniboy - thinking of you in particular hereThus, as they don't bother about the 28 day return policy, the tv/dvd combi I redeemed my points for last week will stay un-opened in my cupboard until Jan if I can't get to a larger store - just keep receipts.
Boots are seriously considering allowing redemption of points online. They are getting more and more requests for this - maybe even more from us MSEers will help that along too. Sooner the better as far as I'm concerned.
Keep happy, tarts. ;D

Further update:
The item I want is only available online, so I can't have it. Boo Hoo - that's what I've been saving for.
Anyway, nice lady i've just spoken to has given me an e mail addy so that I can request they get their fingers out with regards to online points redemptions - would only be fair to share it with all you good folks. ;D

Now, how many e mail addresses has this family got? ::)0 -
i ran into problems with a cashier once trying to use product tokens and a total spend token at the same time
so youre only supposed to either
a use the total spend token
or b use the product token
I've just been to their night tonight when they give 1200 points for £50 spend. Wish I'd read this post before I went. Spent over £50 so got the 1200 points but I'd 200 points vouchers for the Toni & Guy (bought 3 which were on the 3 for 2 offer, also skin kindly x 4 as I had 100 point vouchers). Thought I'd have got an extra 1000 points but it didn't give me any. Not at all happy. Feel like taking the lot back. >:(
but not the two at the same time
well thats what i gathered anyway, i nearly had a right barney with the guy, this was last year and i havent seen the cashier since so he must have got a right earful!
im now paranoid that if i use more than one token at a time in the eastgate centre brnahc ill get knocked back - and thats the branch im well known in and a lot of the cashiers know me by name so id look like a right ploker.
probably get away with it @ retail park mind, they dont know me plus some of them are so dozy they dont even notice £30 minimum spend signs for offers of the week
anyway thats my experience. so ill either have to think of other things to spend on to get to £30 then buy the Toni and Guy seperately, if not ill only get the total spend one and not the toni and guy one if i attempt to do it all at once.If I had known then what I know now . . .
