del_boy_Gupta,
I would have insisted in seeing the manager, and would have gone through him. There if you are to be given a "warning" then they have to be able to back it up, In my line of work, you should always have evidence to convice if you are issuing a warning. Anyone can refuse to accept a warning. old "jobsworth" would have been left quaking in her boots.
neilIf you can't say something nice - SHUT UP0 -
It was one of the larger north London branches.
I can't beleive that this is a scam, yet when i have clearly seen people ask other customers ifhte y can pay for their goods using a gift card in return for money in front of the staff- that this is not worse.
Haha, I used to do that all the time with unwanted gift vouchers. WH Smiths usually turned a blind eye, but we got escorted out of M&S by securityThey call me Mr Pig!0 -
Hi... Del_boy_Gupta...
Unfortunately ALL stores whoever they are will have certain people who like to impose THEIR OWN rules with regards what coupons or vouchers may be handed in & in a lot of cases it can be put down to the fact they are JEALOUS you got something they haven`t!
You state this lady accuses you of taking items purchased at her branch back to other stores for refunds... Is that right ! How would she be aware of you taking your purchases back to another store ! ... Has the other store contacted her !
I would definately take this to a higher level as it seems very petty of her !0 -
Just returned from Boots - they are still giving the toy vouchers out - staff thought it must be because they have loads of soft toys left, when they have usually run out by now.
Decided to redeem my points for the tv/dvd. Checked my points - they haven't added the missing 2000 on yet!. They picked my soft toys up and went to the rear of store to purchase the tv. Went to get ad card out of purse - NOT THERE!Cue, mad woman rushing screaming (almost literally) to front of shop points machine, barging people left, right and centre, queue jumping and demanding to know how to stop my card being used. No-one was really bothered until I said I had £170+ of points on, then they sat up. Then, silly me put hand inside trouser pocket, and there was the little blighter. ::) ::) That'll teach me to put it somewhere safe'. So, redeemed points and will be rigging up some sort of contraption to keep card firmly attached to me in future. ;D ;D
My apologies if you were in Blackburn store and were sent flying into various displays as I broke the 100m record. I'm still shaking, thinking about losing effectively £170!
Must go and have a soothing cuppa ;D0 -
Del boy,I believe you got some silly jobsworth.
I dont believe you're breaking any code and have just found a loophole in the system.
I actually work for boots as a sales girl and i have commented to people if they have loads of points but only in amazement(and jealousy) but we would never confront someone like that(well i wouldnt).
As for having 3 cards,I carry two cards with me as my husband gets better offers than me,i dont believe there's any breach here.

Del Boy - that is awful - I would die if that happened to me. I would definately send an email of complaint to Boots or even through https://www.howtocomplain.com who do all the hard work for you!!!
Thanks ZoeScrims for the insider info!!! I too carry my boyfriends card round as we only got it to see if the offers were any different!Total for 2009: L'Oreal Lip Duo, Diary, Motability Guide
Thanks to everyone who post comps - you are all :cool2:0 -
Del Boy - I'd really hate to think the treatment you got was influenced by your skin tone. In this day and age, and rightly so, nobody should ever experience that.0

vis a vis dundee - well invenress eastgate is a CITY CENTRE STORE yet they STILL WENT and took the ruddy FOOD CHILLERS out! so beware, it still could happen.
i didnt spend much today, trying to be good. got the new magazine though which, this time, is staying up the stairs where advantage_card's mother can't go and chuck it out on her before the tokens run out, like the last one! i think the only useable token for me in it is for the turkey and cranberry wrap, and then that will involve a painstaking trip to the retail park to go and get it.my advantage_card is like gold dush0 -
oh - and to the mad person running around blackbrun boots chasing after a card with £170 on it, imagine what would happen if i went and lost mine just now?
it would be a tragedy indeed - and no christmas pressies for anyone either.my advantage_card is like gold dush0 -
Who was it who wanted the toy vouchers for a hospital or something? I've got 5 vouchers I don't need and I don't want to just chuck them in the bin!
update: sorted now, sending them to Angela for the shoebox appealDum Spiro Spero0
