  • No further on with sorting this paperwork......have emailed both the barrister and the consulate but no replies as yet.

Was unable to make OP too as barclaycard who just took over goldfish only just replaced my card (which I have been unable to use since 27/10!) so have been using cash. Inefficient. Will get my next points reward and change to M&S or someone. Still hopeful that I will be able to OP before the end of the month.

Hope all well on planet MFW.

    PO xxxxx:rolleyes:

Good luck PO, here's hoping for good news :T .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Thanks guys........I just can't get over this. What's the point in being in Europe???????

I'm really struggling to find out how to get what I need. The French consulate finally got back to me and told me to contact the British one in Paris. How the hell am I supposed to do all this while I'm at work??? I don't get another holiday until December when the schools break up.

I'm getting so stressssssssssssssssssed about it all.

I only want to get married !!!!!!!

Nobody in authority is being any help at all.

I have emailed the Ministry of 'Affaires Etranger' this morning on their official email form and it won't send - page unavailable just comes up. No other email address on the site and writing will take time I don't have; It wouldn't be so bad if we weren't restricted by OH's visa - we have to do this before 6 months is up.

    Arrrggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Oh dear, that all sounds dreadful. I hope you have a lucky break soon.:o
  • Resorted to tears on the phone to the registry office. They are going to take another paper I have and see if that will do - friend of mine kindly translated it over the weekend (i'm not allowed to). they said they didn't need this paper initially. if i find out it's the one they wanted i'm gonna go nuts. i don't need this stress!!!!! may have to change the date anyway as OH's exam looks like it might be the week we picked now. will know for certain in a week or so i hope. still haven't op'd - waiting to see if i need an international lawyer....hahahahaha - like i can afford one of those!!!!!!!!

    PO xx

Oh poppy I'm sorry it's been a rubbish time but it will get sorted and even though it might not be the day you wanted, your happy day will come.

Go and get lots of hugs with oh.

    Ev xx
