  • hi po...i have also been a lurker and not posted before but just wanted to say a huge congrats on your news!!!!:j :j :j

i hope you have a great day...doesn't matter how small the wedding is...the reason behind it is committing to each other ...my wedding involved only nine people (including us & the 2 kids!!) and cost all of about £100....the registry office was over in less than ten minutes (we were in the waiting room for a longer period of time than the actual 'ceremony'!!) and then came home for a barbeque....best plan i ever had!!:rotfl:

Not at all - after all the important people know - you, Mr PO & us :D.

If anyone I knew did that I'd think it was really romantic :happylove
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I don't think it's mean at all....in fact that is exactly what my sister did....she and i are extremely close and she had been with her partner for over 15 years at the time but the only people at her wedding were the two witnesses....one of which worked in the registry office and another who they managed to drag in from the street!!!:rotfl:

The first i heard about it was when she called me on the monday and said 'guess what i did at the weekend?!' To be honest, i almost fell off my legs....i wasn't in the least bit miffed and once she had managed to convince me that she wasn't dying of anything and there was no scary reason for the decision, i was over the moon...:D

after all, she did it because it was important to them...didn't matter about a public celebration and it seemed to me much more of a genuine commitment because of that iyswim......;)
