The problem is, Brodiebobs, that when you are house-hunting, everyone tells you you must keep going and viewing houses, even if you know they're not right for you, just to keep the estate agent thinking that you're keen so they keep telling you about stuff. I know that's what everyone said to me.
    Starting again 13/4/19
    Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99
    Total owed: £28,801.49

I'd never heard that lois? I only looked at houses i'd thouroughly researched/scoped out on rightmove et al, resulting in viewing 4 then buying first house, 3 for 2nd house lol... but suppose not everyones like that and will view any and everything.
  • I'm like that too - by the time I view a house I pretty much know I want it!
At least I'm getting viewings now. The gardens are all pretty overlooked - it's a new estate after all and everything's quite crammed in. Others are selling though so this will eventually.

    Oooooohhhhh, how exciting :j
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Got 4 viewings planned for Saturday. Feel like I ought to get my posterior in gear in case they do come up with an offer I can accept. One I love, two I like a lot and the fourth is in my ideal location but I would need to do work to makenthe house what I wanted it to be. Hmmmm. Dilemmas!

Exciting dilemmas though by the sound of it :D. Bit like poker this house selling - bluffing to get the offers up and hanging in there for the best deal. Hope it goes well and you get what you are after.

    Scary!

Here's hoping they come up with a better offer :)

I have had an offer on mine, then spent 2 weeks arguing as they then reduced the amount offered by £10K so have had to compromise and lose £5K but this is "sold as seen" so fingers crossed I will be completed by Christmas
    Mortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

    That's great news Radish!
I'm finding the whole thing a bit daunting at the moment as whatever we do next I'm going to have the one who's financially responsible until mr c sells (assuming this happens now). Then well have to sort it all out into joint names etc. Stressful!
The people who've made the offer are first time buyers so ifvi accept I suspect they'll want to be in by Christmas too. blimey that's only two months away!
