Hi everyone. I hope people can help me please.
Can you buy an all in 1 TV with Freeview that is recordable?
I would like to buy 1 unit to avoid complication or at least the simplest method to buy something so I can record while I'm not at home or record 1 channel and watch another. At the moment I'm using an old CRT TV and a VCR!
I would like this for my office, about 19inch as once a month I publish a magazine and at that time I would like to plug my laptop into the TV so I can see the magazine and big bigger/clearer on screen.
Your help much appreciated!
Thanks,
Vijay

I've not seen anything like that, and it probably wouldn't appeal to many people - because if only one part of the integrated "package" goes wrong you may have to junk the lot.
I suspect the closest you'll get are the AV products designed for mobile use by Avtex, Maxim, etc. They are typically a bit smaller than you want, though, and the best you'll get for now from them is a USB interface so that you can record onto pendrive or USB HDD.0 -
This http://www.humaxdigital.com/uk/products/dtv_lcd32_LP32-TDR1.asp is the closest I've seen to what you want. It's a bit bigger than what you asked for though at 32"
It has a VGA input so you would be able to plug the PC into it.0 -
LG Have a range of lcd tvs that have a freeview recorder built in :

One of the blokes at work recently bought the 32" LG as linked to above. He is very pleased with it.
I don't think there are any out there yet for the size you want.Dave. :wave:0 -
Thanks the Humax and LG look ideal spec but there isnt space on the table in my office for screens that size! lol
I wish there was a simple and cheap way to replace my old VCR and 19inch TV! Grr I think im getting old (i'm 28! lol)...0 -
You might want to consider an all in 1 media PC

Personally, I don't see that much advantage in having it all-in-one...It's just gonna add to the price, reduce choice and make life a pain if one part breaks.
I'd be inclined to shop around for a decent 19-20 inch TV and then buy a Humax 9200T for all your recording needs - it's by far the simplest way of recording stuff I've come across.0
