Maralum so sorry to hear your sad news but excellent about the job
SSL I'm with mudbath on the champagne front. She could use it to toast her Dad's life, maybe not right now but at some point in the future.
Well I have been pew moving again this morning, only 2 more to sort now and I have one purchaser organised for one of them. Dropped nephew's birthday cards and pressie in. Just going to have a :coffee: and flapjack before I go to school for W's review. Keep your fingers crossed for us.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

Tiddles collected fed and in bed.. the duvet covers etc hung out.. my stuff I dyed has come out fabulous.. although I now need to get the gloss paint off my jeans as they are blue again and it is really visible!!
Tiddles was a 'monkey' at nursery apparently.. painted everything , including herself black, jumped in puddles so she was sopping wet, wouldn't sit down for registration, storytime or assembly and wouldn't stop talking either. My reply.. 'yes, I know. That's why I am glad to drop her off in a morning and reluctant to pick her up at lunch time!! She is like this ALL the time!!' I'm sure they've dealt with much more challenging children than her.. she just needs a bit more supervision really.. she isn't horrible to other children, she doesn't break things or tear books she is just 'busy'
ETA.. I just remembered I found the bottle of turps in the cuboard under the sink!!
AND.. major cleaning tip.. blood on bed sheets... stardrops!!!!!! WOW.. it came out straight away.. no faff.. I rubbed the stardrops in with the blunt side of a knife to work it through the fibres and it has come out perfect.. then I got carried away and squirted the patch where hubby lays and all his mank came out too.... I'm dead chuffed.. my cream sheets are ALL cream once again.. and my bleach stained towel is blue again..
:D:D .. I should be off on one more often!

Afternoon all
Somebody asked if it was me giving up alcohol for Lent (can't find the post again now) - I think that is Poohbear, people keep getting us mixed up
Sorry for the bad times Maralum and Skintscotslass
Sounds like you might get some help sorted for that lady now Mudbath.
It's a lovely day here, really warm in the sun and a little breeze too. Two loads of washing out, including my bedding, and some of it already dried and put away. I cut the grass back and front too for the first time this year and swept the paths. It's quite wet out the front and like a quagmire out the back from the dog, but it looks tidy anyway.
I dusted and vaccumed all the bedrooms after stripping my bed and remaking it. Vacuumed the lampshades. Vacuumed the landing, down the stairs. Took up the rug by the computer desk in the hallway and vacuumed underneath and put it back down and vacuumed the rug and under the desk, along the hallway, through the kitchen. Dusted and vacuumed the living room and did the lampshades downstairs too.
I didn't do much yesterday but I think I've made up for it today!
Had a letter from the library saying I had an overdue book - I've never had that book and they are shut today so I can't even sort it out yet. That put a dent in my better mood but I'm trying to rise above it. Bet I end up having to pay for it, I had to pay for one when the kids were little and I never found it so I know I didn't have it. All the children's books are long sorted out and it never turned up. Robbers!0 -
Ok - can someone fill me in on what the heck stardrops are?? They sound like a sweet although from the posts, I gather they are for cleaning. What are they and what magic do they do? Do I need to have them/it???? Any info would be great, thanks.Official DFW Member 716 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0

Mudbath - I think that you've done the right thing - it's not right that the burden of this is on you, your mum and your dad but neither can you ignore her doing something so dangerous - now you've passed this onto the doctor, hopefully something should be done.
skintscotslass - so sorry for your loss. I agree with the others, either reschedule for when you both need a cheer up session or even nominate a substitute birthday date a little way in the future for when you are both feeling less upset. I'm sure whatever you do, she'll feel loved.
Will have to postpone my HHC til a bit later pigpen, sorry- have just walked down to village and back to do a bit of shopping rather than take the car so that's my HHE out of the way too. I'm now going to have a HHS - half hour snarfcause I'm ravenous
Back soon
xI'd rather be watching CSI!0
