Two in bed, not asleep but in bed.

LG I save all packing that parcels come in. I use tissue to wrap clothes - the stuff that shops wrap china in (recycled) and then turn strong carrier bags inside out. Lidl are great for boxes of any size you need - just empty one from the shelves.

Teachers? one of the teachers in year 2 is pregnant so leaving in 2 weeks. Her replacement has been assisting in that class for 8 weeks. Lots of parents don't think she is a qualified teacher and the school would not answer the question. Surely this cannot be right? Any help?

Helping kids I'd say depends on age/type of kid. DS2 I never need to help, he is a self studier and self motivated I will occasionally proof read and make suggestions (he is 11). DS1 (13)needs lots of organizing but is getting better, wants you to read almost everything he writes and to tell him how fantastic it is. DS3 (6 today) we do the reading nearly every night and he learns spellings. He simply asks heaps of questions constantly so I try to turn those into education like he asked me why our street had 50 houses but was not that long so I explained about odd and even numbers and that there was only 25 houses per side of the street.

Missing DS somebody was looking for their DD's - did you find it?

    Solway ditto onions

Right need to update (not much striking) and create a list

Why is she not in bed yet? :naughty:

You know if you had all your kids in bed early you have the evening to yourselves :D All mine when they were younger were in bed by 7pm. They are now in bed by 10pm as they have grown older. I've done this since they were born, they have always had a set ruetine for bed and even the eldest who is 15 doesn't moan when she has to be in bed by 10pm because she is ued to it.

Serena - good luck tomorrow - you'll be fab!
Poohbear - thanks for your advice. I'd really rather not have to do anything as she already has to read every night, learn her spellings and do piano practice. Mind you, she loves piano and I have problems getting her off the it! She actually wants the maths help (and she's only 8) but I set a timer and make a game of it rather than taking it seriously. I think she enjoys the amount of praise I give her!
Dusty - yip, my son learns on his own (he's only 7) and he'll happily sit down and learn his spelling etc as he loves getting tallies and stickers at school. It was my DD who lost her nintendo DS - I asked the witchy girl who'd been to play if she'd seen where Jemma had put it when she was at our house. I asked in front of her mum who really laid into her daughter and said 'i bet you've hidden it haven't you'. Well she had, she'd put it down the back of the wardrobe. I knew she was trouble.

Children in bed. DH at home until tomorrow and has just made a lovely stir fry after doing the shopping. Praised him lots incase he starts doing the shopping on a weekly basis!

I am so having an early night. Speak soon xx

Hmmm. Didn't feel massively motivated today, so by 8pm had spent the day doing "normal things" (playing with dd, general minor tidying, washing, going to Tesco, cooking tea etc) but no flying! So I have (as often the way) had a mad half hour and done some of the list!

Monday Madness- Bathroom and Study/Pc Area

    Level One

    [STRIKE]Clean floors in these rooms[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Clean baths, toilets, don't forget under the rim! and sinks
    [/STRIKE]
    Clear any clutter from desk
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!!
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Wash your bathroom mats[/STRIKE], nets, clean blind/curtains etc
Wipe down tiles in bathroom.. defragment your pc while doing this.
[STRIKE]Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins![/STRIKE] (the proper bins not the rooms that look like bins!)
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
Clear a mega hotspot!.. shred it.. and fling it.. or just burn it!
Extra mission: Pick whichever you want to attempt:

    • Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
    • Wipe down the doors and frames in these rooms.
    • clean the radiators in these rooms
    • [STRIKE]Fling all those empty bottles and tubes[/STRIKE]
    • Replace sponges/flannels/toothbrushes that are in need
So, not too bad but could be better. Hoping for a more motivated day tomorrow!!!

DH has been sorting out the study all day, bless 'im.. so computer is defragged and his study (where we have internet) is fab. Despite my good intentions last week my study is still a box room full of disorganised boxes. Maybe this week is the week to sort it...
