    On the old cinema site I believe, I shed a few tears when that came down. Lots of good memories of that cinema.

    Why is it "up 'anley duck" but "down 'castle" ???

    A small nuclear device is the best redevelopment that Hanley could hope for!
    I can generally get to Crewe faster than into Hanley from Newcastle - even the back way around Cliffe vale and Shelton isn't what it used to be.
