Ah, Hanley Tesco - the store that time forgot! It hasn't been updated for nearly 25 years, and is like going into a time warp. I got a few mobile phones there during the R+R days and it was one of the few branches where the staff played fair.
  • Brand new store in Hanley being built. thats why so much of Hanley is being knocked down. Time forgot all of Hanley not just Tesco lol

Having friends from that area, I often wondered what "Hanley Duck" was.

It transpired that everyone from there calls everyone "duck". You go to the Chippy; "Salt & Vinegar duck?", you go to the paper shop "That's 35p duck". Or, what made me chuckle, was you go to the Chinese and get asked "Would you like duck, duck?" hehehehe!
