Yeah, it still doesn't cloud it for me. I have to try to be clouded by it even to get close if you see what I mean? Not trying to be supercilious here, but it was obvious all the way through.

    Anyway, doesn't matter, everyone's happy.
  • HI i hope someone can help me.

For the first time EVER i am transferring my isa..

    I picked the icesave isa.

I now i have applied online and printed the transfer form.

can someone advise me on what i should put in the *Date Of Transfer* box please.

I am transferring from barcleys and am not aware of a transfer out penalty.

    Many thanx

Just got this from the barcleys website..

    6. Transfer of ISA to another ISA Manager
You may request us to transfer your ISA to another ISA manager by sending us your instructions in accordance with condition 9.4. The transfer will take place within such time as you have stipulated to us, subject to any reasonable period up to 30 days to enable the practical implementation of your instructions.

So is that a 30day withdrawl notice or are they covering themselves?

Last time I transferred one, I just put in the current date - as you thought, it's only there for notice ISAs. The 30 days is just standard stuff, most will be transferred faster.

The reason for a date being there is that some ISAs have a transfer out penalty, so Ice have put the date option there so people can use up notice periods. If you have no transfer penalty, just put today's date.

Hello again. I don't know if others have similar experience, but for me, it's almost a month now since I started the transfer procedure, and I still haven't heard about them contacting my existing provider. I called last time and I've been told there is a long queue. Not terribly impressed so far....
