ICESAVE ISA- Transfer Sucess

Well I can confirm a trouble free transfer, I applied to transfer my ING ISA on the ICESAVE ISA launch day 15th Jan.
My funds were transferred from ING and hit my new ICESAVE ISA on 31st Jan.

16 days (can't believe it)

All in all a trouble free ISA transfer, credit to ICESAVE for a faultless transfer and thanks to ING for giving up my funds to ICESAVE within a week.

Keep Up the good work ICESAVE, Please don't do an ING direct and start to reduce interest rates well below what others top products are and you can look after my hard earnt monies for a long time to come !

So far so good for me too, got a letter from Icesave on Tuesday confirming that they had requested transfer from my ISA providers, today I got a letter from NS&I confirming that they had completed all checks and released my funds to Icesave. Not heard about the HSBC one yet, but there's a minimal amount in there so I'm not that concerned. :)
  • Transferred mine from Yorkshire BS and was in the ICE SAVE ISA in 16 days also!

ICE seem to be right on the mark at present.

Snap! NS&I funds released 31st showing in the Icesave ISA 1st Feb. Less than two weeks.
Got it done before the inevitable April "rush".:D

Am I correct in that it's a cheque sent by post? Hopefully just because of a delay using that method.
Wouldn't think it was an intentional delay by either party, mine was the same transfer, NS&I to Icesave.

In my case, they received my application/transfer form on the 18th. On the 23rd, they send me a letter saying my application is successful and I should receive User ID and welcome pack within 10 working days. Nothing about the transfer process though. Should I worry and call them?

    Hi,
I've just called and they said that my transfer request is in the queue. The guy said that they had a huge amount of applications. Should be processed in a few days, he said.

I have a really basic question but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.. I want to transfer my previous years Cash Isa to Icesave. In Icesaves info it says you need to open the account with £1000 but I can't do that as this years allowance is already used 2007/8. So can I open an Icesave ISA now using just the transferred in money from my previous years? Or do I have to wait till April and open with next yrs 2008/9 which will I believe be £3.600?
