    You're welcome :D:D:D

Well I've managed to mod my sig - had to use Internt Explorer to do it though (got less errors) and still had same problem with wrapped text going over 5 lines erroring so had to append to all the same line. Can't believe that's taken me so bl**dy long. It'll do for now though...

I thought of this the day i read the new anouncement... but if you read martins post on the suggestions board the whole point in narrowing down the sigs is because they are distracting and sometimes too large and bold. If you just keep posting them on every post you make people will still complain and i dred to think what type of 'rules' they make up then... please dont spoil it for all of us because you dont agree with something...

    I'm really sorry Pap.

I don't want you to be afraid of what they'll do to you if we keep protesting, but I find it's best for my self respect if I stand up for what I believe in.

Hi jacks, i am not really affraid of what 'they' will do if you protest but i just feel there reasons for doing this is valid. If these rules were here before you started posting i guess you would have obeyed them and carryed on using the site? After all its not as if they have stoped you posting or anything.... Have you got a diary? or somewhere you can keep a seperate runing total of all waht you want in your sig?

People are complaining because they don't like people in debt. I'm sure a lot of people have seen the attitude. People on benefit get some of it as well. The easiest way to make trouble is to complain about the sigs, as DFW'ers use them so much.

The operators of this board have created a rod for their own backs by not using their own judgement, and thereby pandering to the complainants. Who then continue to complain because it works in causing trouble. They are now trying to impose a technical solution on a non-technical problem. That's not to say there are not technical problems - but they're not being tackled either.

You can choose to not see signatures, and I believe people who have a problem where nobody else does should have that ability chosen for them.

Well I was part-joking just to cheer Jacks up (and it worked :D:D) and frustrated as I think the rules haven't been implemented correctly which caused me to waste a whole lot of time amending my sig.

On a serious note I do understand why Martin has put the new rules in, but looking at Jacks, yours, ZTD sigs just in this post, I feel they are acceptable and not intrusive to the thread. Yes there are some out there that fill half a page which I think are excessive and the rules will hopefully weedle them out, but for me part of reading a thread is also reading the sigs to see what types of people/personalites are on here. There are some v funny ones out there! And I have also been complimented on mine too in the past :o

Just as an illustration - this here is what I see - if Jacks' text gets any smaller, I'll go blind...

Jacks (and please correct me if I'm wrong) main gripe is that her signature seems to have been inexplicably deleted. Possibly just a coincidence that it happened on the day she expressed dissent about the new signature rules but I don't think you need to be a conspiracy theorist to find this just a little odd - and totally out of order

PS - ZTD I love your new reduced sig, a bit of Robert Plant and my favourite Pink Floyd song always cheers me up:D

  • Ok what is wrong with my sig, I checked the rules and it seemed fine but it won't let me update amounts.

I'm feeling picked on, and confused because it seems as if people I believed were "the good guys" are kind of high handed, mean, dishonest and petty.

They're employees. If this was a !!!!!! site, they'd work just the same.

    It's poo.

It's cack-handed and poorly thought through and poorly executed. Deleting your sig and being dishonest about it makes it even worse.
