Hi Lynsedee, I'm not sure how to do a link. But I have copied the item number for something I'm watching. So if you copy and paste onto eBay search bar you'll should be able to find it that way.

I've having doubts as to whether I'll finish the red mohair scarf while dogsitting at sons. One of his Lhaso Apsos (? sp) is determined to sit on my knee :rotfl:

Is there anything on in Edinburgh like that Plumduff? I'd go if it was good and in Edinburgh. And I never thought of ebay for wool. that's a good idea! I have also used Wee County Yarns after meeting the lovely ladies at a meetup once. They are very reasonably priced. Well the wool is, I dunno about the ladies lol
Hi Mardatha, there is a knitting and stitching show at Ingleston 27th-30th April next year. I heard the first one earlier this year was really good but the admission is a bit pricey at £12 for a concession. The one at the SECC this weekend only costs half that and is for lots of crafts. I'm getting the Fishers bus through, but I know there's a few bus companies run coaches to it.
I've bought wool from County yarns as well. They have a shop on eBay and I once saw them at a fayre. Their wool is lovely.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

I am back knitting
thanks to Mar who said she had made some hitchhiker shawls. I found the pattern and have started one, in fact made 20 points last night. Its the needles and the chair. I am almost finished urban poncho using my normal longer lantern moon needles but my chair had arms that were not low enough. The new chair came and I found I could knit lots more rows without shoulder ache. I got rid of my many long aero needles a while ago because they were hurting my fingers and I know that lantern moon were lovely for me
The hitchhiker is being knitted on one circular needle, like 2 needles but with the strand in between. I decided to use my chiaogoo interchangeable set because the wires are not so curly. Omg the small needles are so comfy for me and in spite of knitting so many rows yesterday, 5 solid hours, I have no hand aches today
It took ages for me to get a good knitting position to accomodate my age-related differences from years ago. Shorter height, less flexibility, easy aches and at last I have the chair, wider, reclining with lower arms but the back goes up and down separately.
I am doubly pleased to be able to use some of my stash and have lots of fine sock yarn, which I am using doubled and it works great. All just in time for christmas presents and for winter0 -
I like Hitchiker for easy mindless knitting that suits my ME-addled mind. I've done mine in sock wool too kittie. One in lipstick red for the DIL, one in lavender & grey for me, and my latest is a beauty - a deep gothic dark purple with a strand of silver Metallika thread along the last 5 sts at the points. That looks really special and is for my daughter.
I have some nice pink Auracania ranco and would like to try another HH in that along with the silver, think that would do the GD. If I have time.
On the needles now are fluffy bedsocks for the DIL in white with red heels and toes (can you tell she likes red? lol)0 -
you can tell winter is coming just by the knitting vibes, they are so strong now. This is all hibernation stuff for me. Mar you are using some beautiful yarns and what a blooming good idea for my gd too, the purple and sparkle HH .
Good job I have made loads of ready meals and soups. Top of the list is knitting, not cooking

Thoughts turning to knitting as it gets colder and I huddle by the woodburner (I loves my woodburner, I does)
I recently got some Karbonz needles by Knitpro and wow! they are amazing!! especially for finer wool and cotton yarns. My knitting is so much more even with them, I would never have believed the difference they make. They have silver tips which are nice and pointy without being so sharp they split the stitch. Some people have said in reviews that they can feel the join between the tips and the shaft but I haven't found it to be a problem.
Quite expensive but I've got a complete set now so am attacking the stash (I may be a little while, lol)It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
Well, happy to say I've finished the red mohair mix scarf and have started another one !! This is the same yarn ( Lanas Silver Stop) but in a lovely burnt orange colour. I not decided who I am going to give them to as I can't wear mohair. I bought the wool when it was half price specifically for making presents.
